But they have already given the date if you get redundancy , cracks you up, know they have made there minds up (31stJuly)and just going through the motions
Does his job actually involve driving - does he need to drive as part of his job?
To me its just seems ludicrous to ask for a qualification even if you don't need it for the actual work involved
Mind you it often seems to be the case now, that employers ask for qualifications that jobs don't actually need. And worst still they don't even pay any extra for having the qualifications asked for.
Back in 2016 they tried to implement this minimum grade C maths and English for nursery workers but they eventually had to scrap it

Caught up now, so apologies for so many posts in a row!
After considering getting a Halif.. Clarity card for years I set about it last week,. Already have one of their normal cards... must have got it when there was a good offer:rotfl: Spent 15 mins on phone, didn't want and extra card, just wanted to swap, when it came to nearly the end she said I would have to prove my identity as that hadn't been done for the card I've had for 5+ years. So today went into 'branch' nice chap, cup of coffee, he went over everything I did on the phone and it seems I can have one!
No money back or whatever, but hopefully it will save money on our holidays.
It's the first time I've actually spoken to somebody face to face for years regarding money! and it was such a relief to know that my credit record is now ace and also that I don't give a flying fig if you say yes or no! That didn't used to be the case.0 -

Oooh mhoc, I'm at bit both ways with that. I would want people looking after our children to be literacy and numeracy competent, but pre-school, i'm looking at the caring first
I think pre school they do basic numbers up to 10 and some basic counting but not GCSE level maths - how many under 5s could do percentages?
As for what level of reading - I cant even keep up with what they method of reading they do now.
Spelling - the dreaded spelling lists were the bane of our lives - is it the same now in primary school?
But mostly I imagine its the caring aspect that should be the priority in nurseries“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
