I understood that the requirement is you have to explicitly opt in, not out - so that would not meet the new requirements?

Thats bad and what about NHS staff that are just doing admin stuff i.e. not emergency stuff. I bet they can apply.

For TSB, I think this rate rise is in addition to any compensation for people who have genuinely been inconvenienced. They seem to have made a real mess of it - hopefully they can get it sorted as it will apparently cost them millions in compensation (and the IBM recovery team, who have been brought in to help sort it, won't be cheap!).
