So is it possible to return? I would normally take the hit, but not for this amount.
Only issue I have is that part of the shopping was paid with 2 x £11 APG's so how can they refund if an APG or two was used.

I would return it . I have taken stuff back and, if I have used an apg voucher, I have mentioned itvand said I expect they would issue a gift card rather than cash. They have always said that they will do a cash refund if I have partly paid in cash as well as by apg. I am sure you won't have a problem and you don't have to get drawn into explanations as to why you have changed your mind.

That will only work with A branded stuff. But I’ve had a duvet cover, bought with an expiring APG, refunded as cash, much to my astonishment. Otherwise it should be a gift card. I don’t think they are within their rights to refuse a refund because of the APG.
