Back in the days of DTD and beyond at Tesco, I was ripping them off daily with £100+ coupons (as I'm sure we all were in 2010/11). My brother worked at the same store I did 99% of my shops.
They held a team meeting in the warehouse in April 2011, just before DTD ended, whereby a manager informed staff there were four 'professional shoppers' ripping off the store and these people needed to be stopped. My brother managed to keep a straight face throughout.
This was also around the time when a supervisor used to greet me with the words, 'Have you come to rob us again?' in a really loud voice. On one occasion, she was going for a break as I was loading my trolley with DTD toothbrushes and she shouted down the aisle, 'Oi, you, stop bloody robbing us'.
I tell you, I almost dropped my £100+ coupon in shock.

Sadly I didn't know about coupons then. I came late to that party, a short while before it ended.
My shop was very odd. I bought 6 Alberto Balsam which I thought were on 342, 6 Nivea lip balms, also on 342, and 3 Q10 hand creams which were also on 342. But I just got £10 deducted as multi buy savings. Shouldn't I have had £4 back from the shampoo, £4 back from the lip balms and £3 back from the hand cream?
I am very confused...!!

I think its because you've mixed items that are £2 and £3 in the same shop, you only get the cheapest items free which would have been the £2 ones (hope that makes sense!)
I'm off to brave the weather tomorrow to do a car boot to get rid of a some bits and bobs and a rather large stash of toiletries :cool:0 -

If all these were in one transaction it will have only given you the cheapest, best to split the shops, hth.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

CM66, Seren and Bubbs, thank you! Idiot me... I was taking each (shampoo, Nivea, hand cream) as working separately.
Oh well. I reckon all those goodies were £1 each, which verges on it being a muggle shop but not too bad. I think I shall chalk it down to experience and move on. And I won't do a shop in a hurry again!0 -

I think Susie was expecting you to agree with her, not Marmie. If you took out life insurance when they had the bonus 14,000 points on you might want to check. My points were added today (my 5th qualifying instalment of £5 was at the start of this month)

Didnt realise you were 50 plus to be able to do that, or were you helping a family member out?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Greedy some would say but the answer is of course separate transactions and I have a suspicion the whole glitch thing may be because the mix and match 3 for 2 makes doing a correct price comparison on the APG too difficult.....I think....0
