I have installed Google Play Store using the instructions here:
    https://www.howtogeek.com/232726/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-your-amazon-fire-tablet/

It is worth doing anyway to be able to install your favourite apps and I have been meaning to do it for ages :). Really quick to do too.

I managed to install Android Pay but unfortunately fell at the final hurdle - it only works with stock Android roms (Fire OS is an adaptation). I am just deciding whether I will change my Fire to Android ... hang on, I have a Samsung Tab too, will try that first ;).

Edit - I installed Android on my Tab :) ... but it doesn’t have the chip for using instore (I can apparently use to pay in selected apps though - but there don’t seem to be many and there doesn’t seem to be any you could do small spends :(

I got as far as you did with the Fire tablet and then gave up

Best thing is not too look at your nectar account until next week and its all settled back again.
I've just wasted 5 mins trying to figure out what happened yesterday as on the website it looks peculiar.

I converted 8000 to get a £40 clothing voucher so its showing as 8000 redeemed but then they add 4000 nectar and this shows as a bonus - so that is how double up works :D

But my 80 points for the Lurpak has gone on as customer management :T

If you took out life insurance when they had the bonus 14,000 points on you might want to check. My points were added today (my 5th qualifying instalment of £5 was at the start of this month)

Enjoying all the coupons at T at the moment, I'm eating for pennies!

Breakfast - tin of Princes fruit - FREE
Lunch - bowl of New Covent Garden soup - 17p
Dinner - Ristorante pizza - FREE

I have dozens of tuna fillers in reserve for when the NCG soup runs out.

And as I'm picking up Dr Oetker baking cases at 60p, I have 40p overage with the £1 coupon, leaving me with 23p after the NCG soup. One day I pick up a 50p pack of rolls to have with the soup, the next I pick up a couple of litres of fruit juice. Averages 88p a day :T

This is a new one on me. Where are you getting the £1 coupon please? I didn't spot it in the last T mag I got which had the yoghurt coupons in it?
  • Is it you having all the mags in our t's i havent seen any in there for months.:rotfl:one of the assistants said they dont get as many in now.:(

Not me any more - I live in Salford now and have done for 12 months. Must be some other 'professional shopper' there (will explain this when I catch up)

I'm now wondering if I should try to return the lip balm and the hand cream or just take the hit.

But the Benefit sets worked against T so thank you, whoever worked that out, and especially 3dogs for the wonderful list.

Wow you are so good at this
  • So, where did 'professional shopper' come from?

Back in the days of DTD and beyond at Tesco, I was ripping them off daily with £100+ coupons (as I'm sure we all were in 2010/11). My brother worked at the same store I did 99% of my shops.

They held a team meeting in the warehouse in April 2011, just before DTD ended, whereby a manager informed staff there were four 'professional shoppers' ripping off the store and these people needed to be stopped. My brother managed to keep a straight face throughout.

This was also around the time when a supervisor used to greet me with the words, 'Have you come to rob us again?' in a really loud voice. On one occasion, she was going for a break as I was loading my trolley with DTD toothbrushes and she shouted down the aisle, 'Oi, you, stop bloody robbing us'.

I tell you, I almost dropped my £100+ coupon in shock.

Sadly I didn't know about coupons then. I came late to that party, a short while before it ended.

My shop was very odd. I bought 6 Alberto Balsam which I thought were on 342, 6 Nivea lip balms, also on 342, and 3 Q10 hand creams which were also on 342. But I just got £10 deducted as multi buy savings. Shouldn't I have had £4 back from the shampoo, £4 back from the lip balms and £3 back from the hand cream?

    I am very confused...!!
