Think I am going back to bed. Just realised my pipes are frozen for the kitchen so can't wash up or anything. Tried a kettle of hot water down both sinks but now just have sinks full of water x

Thanks a lot , it's only in a high street store as a shop assistant. They say they need it to proof my change of name and are adamant I cannot start until I hand it in. Shall go and have a read now am so disappointed as was looking forward to a fresh start after my old job. Xxxxx

Surely if you explain the circumstances to them? Do you have a passport in your current name? Do you have something as mundane as a newspaper announcement of your marriage?

It seems rather silly as you can actually use any name you want to as long as you do not intend to deceive.

We have just signed up with Talk Talk. Will have to wait and see if we get a phone call from Virgin to make a decent offer, we can cancel with 20 days. Quite happy to go with Talk Talk, we know there are some horror stories but we know plenty of people that are happy with them. Plusnet wanted to charge £60 up front to put in a new line and we know how little goes into that especially as we have the physical line already in, this way if we do go with them we can swap after 12 months with no extra costs.

Anyway, the clock is ticking for Virgin .......

Worth checking TCB. I had £49.99 installation charge with Plusnet but £70 cashback tracked. Happy with that to get away from VM to be honest. Plusnet service & communication could not have been more helpful.

I know it is a big ask, with so many worthwhile causes competing for everyones cash, but on Friday night I will be doing the Big Issue Night Walk again. If anyone is able to spare a little it would be so much appreciated. A link to our fundraising page is on the charities board here:

The weather forecast is saying its going to be COLD this week. I am choosing to do this. Not everyone is that lucky. Thank you for any support you are able to give x

Shamelessly bumping. Make sure you wrap up your own paws HG!

That was yesterday, can’t even see the back doorstep now.
Walk still going ahead tomorrow night  :snow_laug

Been into the garden and tied a clear umbrella to some plants, thus creating a snow shelter for some bird food.

Neighbours must think I'm mad  but the blackbirds love it. I have a very bespeckled youngster who has sat under it for the last couple of hours! :D

Already done - plusnet was more expensive with Quidco, and we decided not to go with them anyway because we would have had to change phone number, not a good idea with an elderly MiL, and OH managed to do the change whilst I was doing something else so didn't go through cashback. Will wait and see if Virgin come back to us now, what's done is done.
