Good Afternoon, no frost last night and quite bright at the moment here.

I was wondering what everyone is doing to create DD's for Current Accounts that need them for interest, now that Tesco are stopping them.
This is making things difficult for me and looks like I will have to close some as don't have enough regular DD's to go round.

Need 2 each for TSB x 2; HBOS x3: Lloyds; and Santander, 12 in total.
Will probably close Santander, but would like to keep the others going.
I know I could set up charity DD's. but with the amount of money in each one it's not really worth it.

Are there any other account or ways of setting up DD's ?
Well there's TV licence, gas, electricity, water rates, council tax, phone, mobile/broadband possibly something like sky & Even though my car tax is tiny I pay that and OH's by DD, you could open credit cards with each bank I suppose and some other regular savings accounts take DDs, like Birmingham Midshires. You can always pay home and car insurance by DD, but check out any extra cost in this as it may not be worth while

    Thanks for the ideas.
Have already got DD's for Utilities and Credit Card in place and prefer to pay everything else annual.
Chris has given me a link and going to look on that.

They didn't have it at mine, sadly.:(

But I got some eggs before the offer finishes, it's tomorrow (I think.)
I've kept them in the boot for now, partly as they are intended for the kids :) but also as I'll be turning the indoor heating right up any minute now.

Very very cold but no snow, it says only 3% chance at present, so I hope we escape it here.

Pennywise ginger nuts at Co-op 27p.

Also got 2 x 160 teabags and bar of dark choc, should have been £5.37 but had £5 voucher and 50p moc off choc, so the biscuits worked out at 14p. And I got 26p added to my card.:D

Yes I've now seen the link from Chris which will be very helpful.

I prefer to pay annually too.
    Hope you get sorted.

There was a covering early this morning here and it has been snowing on and off all day, albeit lightly.

There may be another price increase, via the APG, on SP frozen chips soon. It looks like M has made two price increases in a short time - it may be that going from 75p straight to 86p was too much, so just move the price from 75p to 81p and then from 81p to 86p and make it seem better when the end result is exactly the same. I have M's chips at 86p now; afaik they were 81p last Wednesday which we are still on.

The frozen 300g free from fish bites have now gone to 50p RTC in M, which is good enough for me to buy them. Maybe I am buying them at the wrong moment - watch them be 25p next week:rotfl:. Possibly half of you may already be out of luck as they may have already cleared from some stores at £1:eek: and at 75p. I have been helped by my store going to incorrect full price SELs last week when they went down to 75p, which thereby seems to have kept more in stock when my store is now showing:eek: the 50p RTC price. The stores that actually displayed 75p last time, generally on one of the two versions as they were already no trace of one they didn't have, seemed to be low on stock. The best luck might seem to be a store that puts the full price SELs onto the product when initially moving them to a location or prior to changing the display to the RTC price and which delays a little longer until maybe they go to 25p later and someone can then catch that - or perhaps more stock will be brought up.

Meanwhile, on the Poppin Chicken, a legacy version of which is available in M at 50p RTC, there seems to be no luck on it now with the APG as they is a seemingly newer regular (non-Christmas season) version that is £1 and which is in more stores. Instead of an unchanged SEL for the RTC legacy version therefore, the APG may have/may have had stores with the regular version at £1 and may already have cleared out of the legacy product - in any event, even if one of their stores happened to have the legacy version still around, it will very likely be outweighed by more stores with £1 price for the newer version (also 190g). Therefore the APG now seems likely to stay on the full price M price that it has got and it is on to moving to buying the legacy version at 50p in M for the very few people that it seems will now have it.

Is this normal price for the ginger biscuits? The gingernuts are useful as cheesecake bases

In my Sainsbobs I thought at first they didn't stock the cake mixes but they were top shelf and tucked away - I think OH is quite keen to have an attempt - I will show him how to do old fashioned butterfly cakes :)

Anyone got the easter egg money from tcb yet? I have mine in pending but usually snap save confirms quickly

Mine are not even in pending yet
Yes I am at the :eek::eek: stage.
I messaged them at the weekend and they have said they have checked the accounts and they are showing but not to me they aren't.
I can see them trying to wade through thousands of submissions all over the next few days so they will just mark them all as not admissible and ask us to resubmit - cynical I know but I will get my receipts out in readiness.

Meanwhile the maltesers £1 in sainsbobs, bought this afternoon are on the pending list already

With the Easter eggs, or any of the other TCB offers, does anyone try to put through a receipt for CB where the entire shop was bought with an APG voucher?
