    Morning Elite :) Happy Tuesday

Saversue - I've only dried chillies once, I just made a decoration of them with some string through the stalks and hung them above a radiator. Possibly not the most hygienic way, but seemed to do the job

I have a dehydrator too and most things I've done in there so far have been disasters. I did soaked and dried hazelnuts in there and they worked fine - I was trying to make vegan nutella and that was the disaster. Wasted about £7 of hazelnuts, I could have cried!

I have just remembered how I found the elite thread. It was a glitch in T, 3 packets of fox's cookies for 25p - it was posted to the main grabbit page but there was a link to the thread there. Took me about a month or two to work out some of the things you were all on about. Why are they getting stuff in a if it's cheaper elsewhere? Bit backwards if you ask me, and they call themselves elite too :rotfl:

Morning, anyone know the best way to dry chillies?
Got a huge bag for 10p per KG, very thin, green, small, may be Bird's Eye?
Never had any success drying them before.
    I just freeze them

For those struggling with the long waiting times for DVLA to process and then reply ( normally 3-4 weeks), I have submitted my annual re-application via the little known fax, 03000 830083 (omit zero if using international fax that pre populates with +44)

I used an online fax service (efax) there are probably more about, WARNING sometimes it can take a bit of telephoning to cancel account. I "faxed" application on the afternoon of 12th, got a paper confirmation stating they are contacting my doctor toady 20th. So a pretty quick 8 day turnaround and that includes the fact they posted the reply via royal mail.

    HTH

PS they do not need the original forms sent either, so saving on postage towards fax cost. And if in a real hurry you can ask your doctor to reply to them via same fax. You must tell your doctor beforehand and see if they will agree.
  • Hi all, how are we?

i havent had a read back so hope your all ok.

i am off my feet for awhile, managed to slip over when on my way home from a meeting on friday, resulting in my arthritic knee refusing to play ball. que an emergency doctor visit and i am now sporting a new pair of crutches with strict instructions to stay off the knee (not going to happen, ) so i thought since i have some time on my hands i am going to come in here and say hi, see whats happening and drool over glitches i cant go and get.
  • Good morning. I love hearing people's stories about how they discovered the elite. I'd been on mse for years andvthen held a conversation with my good friend YELLOWBIRD  and she told me how to find it. I had actually already discovered it as I wondered why a thread about something that had been and gone was so popular but whenni did have a read it didn't make much sense....some things don't change :rotfl:

So how did you discover the elite and what made you finally decide to register?
DM that sounds like one of the questions they ask at the dinner table, get practising :rotfl:
I had already registered before the elite discovery as I wanted to thank mad Muppet for all the coupons etc he brought to the coupon thread.

How did I discover the Elite? Must be a while ago now as I remember discussing recently with Mhoc that I had been awol for 4 years!

Someone mentioned it on another thread (or maybe another forum?) I have to admit that I found it a little scary at first :rotfl:

  • WonTwo are stating on their coming soon page that there is some sort of Costalot deal. Make sure you have your Costalot app installed just in case you can add to it if you are getting a freebie, but worth a try. You get 5 points per £1 spent and a bonus 100 points on sign up. each point worth 1p. Every penny counts LOL

Thanks all for not taking part in order to allow me my moment of glory - what gets me is you lot are so first - even when I get them right it takes me twice as long as everyone else and it is not because I am cheating and looking stuff up.

I used to drop in every now and again, particularly in the days when Mr T was spending a fortune proving that he was not the cheapest supermarket (those were the days) and when I wanted to check out how to do a particular 'deal', SC is also a nice friend so she mentions this thread. Problem is I could never keep up and I hate dipping in and out - cue more recently and I have been working much closer to home and have been able to keep up. Very sadly that all ends this week when I have 100 days at her majesties pleasure in Croydon, the extra 2-3 hours a day travel time probably means I will be an occasional visitor for a while.

Oh course my back has chosen this time to flare up again so walking and particularly standing for long periods is tricky so I will have to take the stopper train to get a seat making the day even longer :(
    I think....
