Tried for the 'buy 2 get 2 free' offer in Tesco - unfortunately the Mars comes back N/A :( Same weight but slightly different description - avoid this one if you're trying it. The other 3 should be fine if bought in a set of 4 that all show.

    1x Smarties Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (122g) £1.00 £1.50
    1x Mars Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (141g) £1.00 N/A
1x Cadbury Creme Egg Medium Easter Egg (138g) £1.00 £1.50
    1x KitKat Chunky Easter Egg (140g) £1.00 £1.50

    Thanks for trying Chris :)

Hopefully the eggs won't go to waste :rotfl:

    Today has disintergrated as well.

Errant son was home this morning so he started off very productively. He booked the van in for his MOT and then went and fiddled about with it until he got the new bulbs in.
Then he tackled the key issue. He has one of these policy that covers lost car keys so he rang them to ask if he was covered. They gave him a number to ring of the company from where he can get a replacement key. They sent him an email of the paperwork they need so he got all of that together for when he goes up later in the week.
Then he rang about his serving but the van hasnt done enough miles this year yet to warrant servicing.
Then he started on his bedroom, lots of banging and crashing about, very nerve shattering. I thought he was tidying up but he was actually looking for something lost - no idea what but he did find the missing thing and also brought down a box of paper for recyling.
THen he realised the time, scoffed a Hot Cross bun and went off to work.
The bedroom is worse than ever, he has just moved everything about and emptied stuff out on the bed - no idea where he intends sleeping tonight.

Oh mhoc, I'm sure he has slept in worse places than that, close the door and let him get on with it!

So did mine, not gone up much this year about a tenner and I know it's not very MSE but I really don't have the energy to look around for a better deal. :o

Will hand in my Elite badge now.

Mine worked out cheaper to auto-renew, the other quotes were shocking, and apparently I'd built up some loyalty bonus with eSure, so I'll probably be staying with them this year too.

Afternoon all, having yet another one of those days ...

Yesterday just vanished from under us, no idea where the time went apart from a long conversation with Eldest child.

Eldest child and her new OH are having issues and she rang for a very long chat - longest for ages.
We really are not the best people to give out marital advice - we bicker constantly and my OH drives me crackers on a daily basis - so she must have been at a low point to ring us and get our perspective on things.
I dont know if we helped but the conversation left us very down.

They have been together for 7 years and they have been through the mill and out the other side on numerous occassions and weathered all the storms along the way. It is the 1st wedding anniversary coming up in a month and its very unsettling.

It harks back to what we were saying on the Elite a while back that you dont stop fretting about your kids when they are adults, its just the problems that change.
And also you are only ever as happy as your most miserable child.
I feel your sadness, the wedding must have occupied them for so long and now they are stuck with the day to day, hope they can come through this.
Also heartening to see she still looks to her mum for advice.

I stayed with the same provider too, but got £20 off when I gave them a quick call to see if that was the best they could do.:j

Mine was due for Tuesday, but got a text last night saying it was coming tday, so i am sure it will be fine.

What is this with people getting texts and not me. I didn't get any about my Adnams orders either. And I do put my number on I think. :o

Must be the young bubbles fizzing things along quickly. ;) The slow mature reds are taking their time.

And no MKS I haven't opened a bottle yet today. ;)

I always go for next day now, as the times delivery comes from somewhere else, and of the 2/3 orders I have had cancelled on me, they have all been times ones.

That's always been my thinking from way back an old M&S glitch that unfortunately as you know I was the only one who got it. :rotfl:

Same with me, day started well and it then slid downwards.

Started with cleaning the fridge out and then thought I'd tackle the compost heap on my desk.
I uploaded all of the receipts for shoppix and shopprize for both accounts, Big DL and receipt pig - one of them had enough points for a £5 Amazon e voucher which came straight away so I added this on.
One of my Mr T receipts had an item for COS.
One had a GJ item so I messaged them but it was too late.
On the Marks shop I did yesterday I was overcharged for a reduced item so I put that receipt in the wallet along with the receipts that had Sparks points to go on.
2 Sainsbobs receipts needed points adding on so they were walleted.
Also made sure I had the right receipts for the right things that needed returning.
I went via chat to Amex to chase up the missing £5 credit from the Aldi shop last week but the assistant just said I had to wait 7 days. I never had the email so I dont think this is going to end well. Tommorow I will try again, we live in Hope.
OH forwarded me an email he had on Saturday from COS :(:( refusing the HAppy Down receipt. The account is OHS on his phone so I had to wait until he got back to reupload it. Oddly though on the drop down box there was no February 17th - peculiar. So I took more pictures and emailed them instead. An email came back an hour later with another refusal as I'd contacted them via my account on the ipad. They wanted the email to come from OHs account on his phone so I had to figure out how to do this - android phone with slight differences.
In the meantime I thought I would check the hotel room rates for a room I've been trying to book since last August. Normally you can book up to a year ahead and because its a Saturday night in August 2019 (not one of my best ideas) I wanted to book earlier rather than later. I managed to get a hotel room last year that I could cancel, not in the prefered location but it was the only room available at all in that chain. I checked Ibis, Premier and travelodge again today and all of our usual hangouts and travelodge had the best price, plus it was in a much better location.
And I checked Q and TCB for the cashback rates but instead I used a vouchercode offer.
And thats where things really started to go wrong. Apart from the usual very slow connection the travelodge website had problems with my address so I had to quit and start again twice, no idea what the problem was.
I then went to cancel the previous Premier Inn booking - should really have gone through chrome but I was having such issues ... IE11 shut down on me 3 times before I succeeeded in cancelling the old booking
Anyway £62 instead of £90 and I used the amex so it was worth the effort and the swearing and cursing -
Then the main computer just shut down altogether so I had to call in the IT expert - OH again - he got it going again but then spent another hour delecting and tidying files and taking off a duplicate virus checker etc - so that was me off the computer for the rest of the afternoon while he twiddled about.
And thats as far as I got today, worse than wading through treacle.
