Good morning all, overslept a tad after being woken by the howling wind last night
Calmed down considerably this morning though.
I can't decide which order to do my trip in, I can do T, M&S & then S, T & M&S are next to each other but eager to get to S to see if they have cheap oven gloves! Decisions, decisions ............What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Still waiting for a 90% plus clearance at my local m& s still just 80%. Lots of stock though!0

Good morning Elite :hello:
‘twas blowing a hoolie all night so not much sleep to be had. Ended up in one of the spare rooms as Mr AJ started complaining that I was disturbing him too much, he should be so lucky
Anyway, outside now it’s so calm, very still. Could this be the calm before the storm I ask myself. We’ve had no snow at all yet. The damp cold weather has been playing havoc with my joints though, I’ll survive, there are people worse off than I.
No galavanting to any sales for me, I just cannot be bothered so that’s my loss. Hope you shoppers get some fantastic bargains though if your going to m&s. No doubt Mr Shoes is on your lists for tomorrow. I’ve never been to their big sales, ever
Have a great day whatever you’re planning
Hugs to the Elite poorly and special thoughts to those low in mind and spirit. You’re all in my thoughts today xxThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
rhos. How is your sick pony doing just now. I know he’s getting on in years but don’t like to think of them being unwell. Lots of extra time needed to tend to them buts it’s got to be done xxThere's no place like home

Good morning
My poor daughter is feeling very neglected as she has never enjoyed a train journey on her own and I thought that today would be the perfect day to try it but will need a bit of help from the elite :rotfl::rotfl:

I didn't know that "vagina" was unsayable; it seemed to me it was one of the always acceptable terms. I learn something every day - now I have no idea, as I use the proper, formal language, which is the medical term, and all slang or informal terms of any kind are potentially unacceptable to someone, so now I think there is no word at all available if the proper one is also unacceptable.
I don't see how the tone is highered, lowered, moved sideways, backwards or anything else by the use of a word. There are also no words that, in themselves, are "rude" and that idea, which some or many people teach children, is another idea in our society that is an unsubstantiated opinion and should be banished forever. A word is only "rude" if it is used in a context that is disrespectful towards anyone. Slamming a door into my face is rude*, not saying a word.
As far as I am concerned, people can use any term they want to for that if it's in my home and with just me or just me and my close family. I don't have any objections to them as such and there is one in particular that I prefer and, yes, it is one that some people "hate" the most. Personally I "hate" terrorism, murder and rape, but some people say they "hate" words and seem to me to have their priorities completely wrong - and hate is a very strong word. If you "hate" a word, then what have you got left to describe things that are really bad, such as murder or child abuse? Merely "hate them a lot"? It's no good, the word "hate" has been devalued by applying it to something that is not to be hated: I would only ever go to saying mere "dislike", rather than "hate", but then you now I am pedantic over individual words, if something just made me uncomfortable (like words in certain situations as a result of society's useless created taboos). As a man, I am forced, in a sexist way, to use the opinions of a woman to defend my one of my favourite words as I am not allowed to be seen to like that word, without other people's opinions of me becoming substantially more negative due to their own irrational dislike of certain words.
I therefore have to rely on one woman posting on the internet elsewhere and saying that it is her favourite word for her private parts and that she uses it in her home precisely because she wants to get back at society for it. As a woman likes this word and it's her favourite, I therefore, as a man, can't be viewed as any less. If I can then it merely shows up the sexist approach of the person that views me less favourably for liking what they greatly dislike (or even "hate") and I view that sexism as rationally offensive to me (fortunately not emotional, as I don't get physically bothered by it).
However, if some of the words are said at work in front of others not known to be okay or are said to me when in front of the supermarket checkout person, that might make me uncomfortable and, in that situation, they might be "rude".
Of course I want far more swearing on the forum; however my own wishes will be denied as that is not allowed. I love it - it annoys other people (and also myself at other times/occasions) and gets up their noses, so it must therefore be something very good and there to enjoy. It allows me to be mischievous, without actually breaking any rule:D.

Well, I’ve got a 44 page court document from the defence to read over on Websleuths, they want most of the evidence dismissed it seems. Awaiting trial to start next month into the kidnap and death of a Chinese student in Urbana USA.
See you all later xxThere's no place like home
