Hello again….strange for me to be here twice in two days, but popping back to alert anyone who bought the “free” Moma porridge yesterday for CoS.

I spent £2.45 @ Asda but CoS only processed £1.50.

Hoping a gentle request to help @checkoutsmart.com will do the trick.

Be careful out there – savage weather!

Morning Elite :)

Second day back at work and still can't get motivated. I'm on day 2 of non-smoking, which would be much better if I'd gotten some sleep last night. DD wanted to get up at 4:45 - I did not, but as usual she won :rotfl:

Need to find something interesting to get at A at lunch time, probably more biscuits!
Final cigarette smoked 02/01/18

Talking of meat we had a nice big piece of pork which should have done 4 of us two meals. Trouble was half of it was fat. It was an online shop from Sainsburys as I’m hoping for a £30 argos gift card from it.

Meat was lovely but too much fat. I bagged up the fat and took it back to Sainsburys lol and she gave me a full refund :)

Good Morning all :) Hopefully going to the Trafford Centre with Dawn later :)
We got our voucher codes order last night, yogs have shorter dates than we usually but and gammon is full of fat/gristle ie not the joint you would normally pick up. Plus none of the reduced pans and a compltely different more expensive toothbrush. What is the voucher codes impact of retrning some of the items before it is confirmed?
I did not think about water/ice - we love our water dispenser, it gets used all the time, I got carried away with the handsomeness of the freezer.

Do you know someone who works for Siemens as I am sure that they get discount (DS3 works for them tells me they get items at cost - but laughed at me when I asked for a wind turbine at cost!).
We love our fridge with ice and water but after 10 years service the ice has stopped working and we are not sure if trying to get it repaired makes financial sense. Presumably a new one would use noticeably less leccy ao along with not paying for the repair might be more cost effective?

That reminds me, meant to say that yesterday I got a few 550g packs of Finest Extra Mature Cheddar for £2 a piece. The dates aren't great, but I have never bothered about that with cheese lol. The price works out better than the Lidl cheese we normally get so got a few, couldn't carry too many as was walking, and still had to pick up a couple of bits in Lidl on the way home!

Have to admit though, would have liked one of those pork joints rose :D

Also picked up something interesting, mulled cranberry topped pork pie, yellow labelled at 89p. Said not to freeze, but would guess the cranberries might go a bit mushy but the rest would be OK, so it is cut into 4 pieces in the freezer :D

There were about 5 people looking and I picked up 2 and as no one wanted the third I had it. In my spare fridge at moment freezer tetris later on!!

Good Morning All
I've just seen the Toby Carvery 40% off mains coupon on the main site - can anyone confirm that we can use them with the dining cards from the Android Pay?

Just wondering about this myself as I seem to think there are/were 50% off mains at Bella Italia - possibly on their website

Not used any of the £10 or £20 dining vouchers yet - it puts a damp squid on the moral, the though of tussling with a code at the end yo pay a bill ...

Morning (I know I've already said that). When I've used an APG, I destroy nearly all receipts completely (the only ones I don't are the few that get left with the cashier when it was just easier to leave quickly rather than ask for the receipt back). Even if a receipt was 'destroyed' but a tiny bit left - you only need the TC# now to do a check and, if the receipt hadn't had an APG claimed before, could successfully use it at SS as long as long as it was put through with no SA asking for the receipt. I completely destroy all receipts I have after using APGs, in case someone else manages to print another one off and tries to use it and it somehow gets associated with me and gets me into trouble.

It's on the news that Next have had a good year. Apparently, full price sales there rose by somewhat over 1%. People buying at full price:eek:. Again, our interests are completely contrary to the store's. Also, if you buy at full price (and don't get anything back through a price promise for example), you're the one effectively paying for others to buy less expensively and save money. Another place that needed to increase its full price sales was M&S. I now have the M&S account and the gift card. The trouble is that nearly everything at M&S costs about three times as much as I would normally have got from elsewhere so the gift card of £150 or whatever it is is effectively worth about £44. Perhaps I need someone to pay me £150 to let them use the card (they wouldn't be allowed to have any of the top-ups of course but just to borrow the thing and pay full price like they do:wall: so that they can spend it). The problem is I just don't spend the card - I went to look and the items I wanted weren't on "up to" 50% sale, and were just way more expensive than I would pay, so the money on the card is not worth as much as it would be buying much more cheaply elsewhere. I came home with nothing. Regarding items on the sale, this website says that last time the discount got increased later on. So, no need at all to go for anything in the "50%" sale and we need to save money by avoiding buying anything at all until the discount is a proper one. 50% is no good (the sort of sale that gets people generally commenting how good the prices are when they are not) - we need 80% or 90%:rotfl:!
