if you are on magazinesdirect emailing address look out today for an email about Amateur Gardening.
They are offering subscriptions at £11.49 for 12 weeks - for today only if you go through the special link you also get a £10 Amazon e voucher sent to your email address after 28 days.
I think this is the magazine that also gives you free seeds with the cover but I don't know if they also come with postal subscriptions.
I've used my own account so that the direct debit will be obvious when it goes through and I will cancel when the Amazon voucher comes through. (I message my bank to cancel as well as the subscription people to be doubly sure) Also put a note on the calendar and screen shot all the pages to be on the safe side.
And then I pass the mags along via Freecycling“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Agree - its that first foot in the door that is the hardiest and then once you are in you just have to convince companies how much of a valuable asset you are to them.
Eldest child in desperation just started out as a 3 month temp working the IT phones -it was not a lot to do with her business degree and masters. But she made such an impression they took her on permentantly and it lead to many promotions and job role changes and she is still with this firm now.
Errant son was applying for jobs after Christmas in his final year, 2nd interview at Easter, the company were so impressed with him he got the job and he then had 6 weeks to finish his final dissertations before he started (and he would still have been with them if he had not got a serious case of itchy feet)
When DS graduated in 1995 () there was a graduate training scheme, basically dole plus an extra tenner a week. He did this and the company kept him on, 18 months later he gave this up to move south to be with his GF, now wife. Said he would clean aircraft at Gatwick if no jobs came up.. I was horrified. The day he was due to move had an interview and landed a job.
Changed jobs a couple of years later and has just recently moved again as he was 'bored' and also sick of travelling around Europe.
Current job gives him a car allowance of £750 a month!!!
He's an electronic engineer specialising in wireless technology... basically (I think) he designs and markets 'high end' micro chips.0 -

Lango, your porridge was expensive....is it the right one for cos?...the 5 sachets? Mine was £1.50 a box. Might not make any difference as with the kettle chips, the receipt might go through even if the wrong product.Keep Moving 2018 challenge.

It is a real mystery but there has to be some logic in there if we can crack it - the only thing the same in my case was the phone.
Anon
I've had two VISA accounts and an HSBC account running on one phone so effectively 30 swipes per day, however one of the VISA accounts was set up on another phone. One VISA account expired a few days ago, one tomorrow and the HSBC on the 9th.
I've since tried for a third VISA using all new info/cards/email but without a different phone...no joy. Factory resets have not worked.
I think a virgin phone is key to this.
PS did we all know that purchases are not required, all you need is a terminal which scans ....ie ATMs.0 -

What makes you say Virgin phones are best for this? ( mine is Vodafone and won’t give me a second month).
And I didn’t know about ATMs, could you explain please?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
