it says they are 2 for 1
it also says Save £3.65. Was £8.65 but the price states they are still £8.65
anyway i put 2 in online basket and they do go in at £5 and 2 for 1

2x AAA for £5 - SEL £5 & go through as £5 each then BOGOF once you total. No AA to test, but you should be able to mix & match (works online).0 -

Locarr has suggested that the idea was dismissed previously by the BG's....and probably at the time the reasoning wasn't fully explored...there are clearly posters who would like it to happen.....
it wasn't dismissed because we weren't asked. It was just a suggestion, a thought, as far as I can see.
I think this has come to the fore now because of the way you are feeling in reaction to the sad news. That is understandable.
But altering the improvement made to the Elite thread/s won't make any difference. Each new thread could still be deleted by disruptive sources - every day or every time a new one was started if they felt so inclined - so it really may not achieve what you hope yet would be logistically difficult and very time consuming.
I know this is not what you want to hear, sorry.0 -

it doesn't seem to be a glitch - in my local it was shelf labelled as such. £5 each and BOGOF.0 -
Will you help us achieve it.....or is it a case of finding a board guide who may be more willing to accommodate the request going forward?
that was unkind and unnecessary.
I have looked after this thread for years. However if you want me to go, just say.
BGs will not go against each other. It would have to be discussed.0 -

Actually it's not necessarily my personal feelings that I am putting to the fore here...it's what has been mooted openly on the thread this morning....and at the original time when the previous thread what spammed.
an everlasting thread is long and laborious...keeping them shorted to mirror seasons etc would make the search back for information easier if needed.
I've always respected your views...and on this one I find it a little unreasonable that you do not wish to even consider a smaller thread for whatever reason or argument we put up...."very time consuming"...no more so then when we had the old 10 thousand posts.....
Perhaps you may even be so kind as to suggest me as a potential board guide to the powers that be....I really dont think that it would take up that much of my time to learn the ropes and set the threads...now there's a thought to scare you all for the new year!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Im sorry you took my post as you did....it was not meant to be unkind...however it does feel that when genuine reason to put in smaller threads is requested there seems to be a blanket "no " answer.that was unkind and unnecessary.

BGs will not go against each other. It would have to be discussed.
may I then respectfully request that you do consider discussing the request with other guides.
I have never posted on this thread with the intention of causing offence ...but I don't always agree with posters and indeed yourself...but does that mean that I think any less of you or wish to intimidate you...no. no. no.....
As I said ai have always respected your decisions...but sadly on this we may have to disagree if you wish.....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Anyway....I'm off in the words of Zag to become a lurker for a couple of weeks....we have 3 birthdays to celebrate and a rather large and looming anniversary that we would rather wasn't there falling in the middle of them all.
I'll hopefully see you all on the other side mid January...but until then I'll wish you all a lovely New Year and perhaps leave you with a tune
