    Good morning all.

I have just caught the news about Sal. Very sad for her family, may she rest in peace.
  • Good morning all, rather cold here at -3

Off up to Yorkshire today to see DD and her fianc!e, DS will be popping in to make sure we don't freeze up and to have some downtime from in-laws lol.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • Sad news re Savvy Sal.
Sally died yesterday at 7pm in Martlets Hospice after her battle with cancer. She had been so very brave and had made it very clear she wanted to go - we will miss her dreadfully.
A few weeks ago she asked me to let you all know when she died as this thread has been a huge part of her life for years. A fantastic hobby that kept her mind active, her body fit with walking, and her bank balance healthy. She hasn’t spent a penny on groceries etc for 5 years and has left us with enough tins, jars, toiletries etc to last for months.
She truly valued the friendships she made on here, and although she found talking difficult, just about her last words to me were “Anything on the thread this morning” !
    Best wishes to you all

The loss of anyone is always such sad news...but this thread is a lifeline for so many of us not just for the glitches but for the many many chats we all have with each other...I came on to have a catch up following Xmas to read this very sad news.....My sincere condolences go out to Marigoldsal, family and friends....We are like pieces of a jigsaw spread all over the country but come together here to read and chat with each other.....Sadly a piece of our jigsaw is now missing.......Have a good day everyone...

    Any recommendations please?
I was going to go to minatureland, but think it may be a bit busy, so HOHO bus it is now, but what else? Only have about 6 hours. Suggestions please.

We did CHOCOVERSUM - chocolate museum.

Miniture land is well worth the hustle and bustle we loved it!

We also went on a boat trip around the port which was nice. There's some big a** ships there.

    Good morning everyone.
    20,000 :eek::eek::eek::eek:

So we have a joint challenge, shall we start on the 1st January?

    :D:D:D:D:D

God I do not believe I am agreeing to this :p:p:p:p

You are on, challenge set :j:j

Once you know you are challenged with something, I think it will spur you on to do more.

I know when I do challenges with my friends on fitbit, we can see each other through the day how well we are doing, and we always try to outdo each other :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Take care Savvy Sal. Our condolences to all her friends and family.
