Carrots boiled in some butter instead of water is also amazingly nice!

Do you mean from raw? How much butter do you use? Don't think that's going to suit my diet very much do you :rotfl: I'm trying to do Christmas as healthy as possible without anyone really noticing.
I've just made my glaze for tonight, honey, butter, olive oil and fresh thyme.....we will see later.

    Morning all :)
Haircut day today, means having to find somewhere to park in town
  • Good morning all, another dull and dank one here.

As for Christmas veg, I prepare them all the night before and steam them all except for the spuds and parsnips.

Pigs in blankets are done and in the freezer, can never work out how they can get away with charging so much for ready made ones in the shops, and I use chipolatas rather than the mini sausages they use. I did several years' worth of chestnut stuffing a while back too, so I just have to get that out of the freezer.

It is great, I am as good as done, shall be picking up salmon and a cucumber today and that will be it.

    Good morning all....

Snap I'm so glad your sister had her treatment.

I'm updating toiletries today as I probably won't get much chance over the weekend and I do want to get one more final total in before the end of the year.

This week it has been 5 samples used up and 3 full sized products...only 1 sample perfume in so its been a good week....I am expecting the totals for in to increase next week as I am expecting a large package for testing purposes that I agreed to earlier in the year....a trial of a whole new range of products over a 4 month period....I'm probably more excited about receiving the parcel with it's unknown contents than some christmas presents....but little things like that excite me!

Have a lovely day all...I'm off to read back then get on with some ironing.....ho ho ho.

    Good morning lovely peoples

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the chaotic run up to Christmas :)

I haven’t been feeling very “Christmassy” this year, and I had to be dragged out to the traditional Christmas poultry auction last night. But once there, I got into the spirit and was soon bidding for the bigger breasted birds, in between snaffling the free mince pies and mulled wine - just like old times :)

Got my first Christmas card too yesterday :j
Have a great Christmassy time everyone :A

Thank you! Was this for Gatwick south? We got turned away with our priority pass last time we tried because it was so busy and we hadn’t booked.

Yes, it was Gatwick south. Just do two separate bookings if you have individual cards. Referral was quick. Had no problem at Gatwick north a couple of weeks ago but that was for the Aspire lounge which is good. Haven't used No 1 before, have you? Write ups don't seem to be brilliant. For what it's worth, if you put the Clubroom in on the pull down menu, you can use your PP there and it still only costs the same. It's waiter service in there and much 'posher' (right up your street :D) but my flight is early so probably wouldn't appreciate it. Don't understand why there are more lounges at the north terminal when that is quieter than the south terminal.

On CoS my 140g Kettle (not the ones we are supposed to buy ;)) were denied overnight, as they said they could not find the items :(. Another item on the receipt was processed.

It seems a little hit and miss with some having success and others not. Fortunately I didn’t go overboard ... but a hit all the same :(.

    Good morning Elite.
Hoping everyone is warm, happy and well. Hugs to those not so.
My best friend is a Christmas-holic and has this morning decided she is so excited it's now no sleeps 'til Christmas!
    Have a great day all.
