Why do Fridge/Freezers always break down just before Christmas
Mum's broke yesterday. Left it defrosting overnight but no joy.
    Freezer and Fridge were full.
Can't find a suitable replacement on AOL. It's a very tall one, over the standard 600mm.
Can't find anyone that will come out quickly to try and save food :(

Talking of incomprehensible things....I overheard a woman on the bus today saying "It would have been cheaper to get a return ticket but I don't need a return." Seriously?!

This happened to me last year.

    What split is fridge/freezer?

Have you checked out https://www.offeroftheday.co.uk or currys ebay ?

Short term solution to save food ... do you have any local charity shops that sell electrical items nearby ?

We used AO they do next day delivery I believe.
Alternative to that would be go to to the likes of Argos, Ikea etc. and try and get one to take away today.

I bought the 6 box beer selection yesterday in A.

    Good morning Elite.
Hoping everyone is warm, happy and well. Hugs to those not so.
I'm out shopping for my best friend's daughter today. No really - I have become a personal shopper! She has sent me a list of what to get as they don't finish school until Friday. Christmas shopping through the eyes of an 11 year old.

That sounds like fun. My 6 yo DGD's reasoning as to why she wants to get presents and who for are brilliant. Mine last year was a comb as she says that I comb my hair as soon as I wake up and use one a lot! It had to be pink as 'that's a pretty colour'. Bless her.
Hope all is good with you. x

So I requested another verification pin this morning which came within a few mins, but still nothing showing about AP. Only something about ‘justice league’.

I wonder if your suggestion above would work Anon.

Or wonder if they put some kind of ‘marker’ within your phone so you can’t do it again (like some of the coupon software).

    I’m baffled.
For security, they could possibly somehow link it to the imei number (possibly?).

    Morning all

Well the beds are changed and the guest room has the Christmas duvet on it. Finally finished most of the present wrapping at 6 last night despite numerous interuptions from OH - just one big box and 2 bottles to wrap tommorow.
And the 2 books that are still en route to do.
I think I am getting too ancient and decrepit to wrap presents - last night lower back stiff, knees imflamed and painfull from being on the floor for hours on end, neck stiff - no easy way of doing it. If I did it all using the dining room table the back would seize altogether ...
But at least the vax is en route, emergency substitute for the dyson that died on Monday. The house is covered in glitter shed from this wrapping paper I've been using, we will still be finding it next summer.
And the tree is up with lights although very sparse, not much in the way of decorations yet ..
Do like a friend of mine, use tin foil, takes seconds to wrap, and people can reuse the wrapping if they are inclined.

Samsung do tall ones with good capacity.

Good idea. I have more cling film than tin foil though so I'll use that :rotfl:
