Based on my defence in the previous replies, should I also provide copies of anything to do with the Beavis or Cargius cases?
Cargius if you think it is on all fours from your case, yes, albeit it's pre-Beavis. Not the Beavis case, a Judge won't need a Supreme Court decision and it's very long.

Don't email your evidence to the Court, make a nice paper file in a ring binder with a contents page and why not also do the WS, as they are easy.

See the NEWBIES thread for example WS (easy!) and a list of typical evidence.

I'm reading through https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5636211/parking-eye-court-date-set and focusing on the Witness Statement. It reads a lot like a Defence.

Should my Witness Statement be similar to my defence but with references to evidence where relevant?

    Many thanks

PS - in fact I think it is a defence. It says at the end "I believe the facts stated in this Defence Statement are true." despite the title saying Witness Statement.

I'm totally confused now  :(

That thread is 16 months old. How come you've (randomly?) landed on that when there are, no doubt, dozens upon dozens of more recent ones?

What makes that one so special and relevant to your case now?

Why are you reading that, and not the NEWBIES thread? There are other WS in the sticky thread that are correctly written, look again.

It came from the NEWBIES thread. Searching for Witness Statements. I focused on this one because it closely resembles my case - incorrectly typed VRN.

"Here is a Witness Statement I wrote for a person post #5 (a case about a keypad error re the VRN, remember that if this is a 'close match' VRN, it is not proved to be the fault of the driver and could always be a dodgy key on the equipment):

I'm starting to feel on my own with this. Each move I make attracts criticism. There's too much information to take on board. I've no idea whether to follow the advice or ignore it and keep looking. It's endless....

Look at another WS that's more recent. I added one by bargepole this week!

And there's nothing wrong with that WS you found except the final line. Not a big deal. I've just edited it to put that little error right.

There's been input alongside you since November of last year (157 posts) - a bit of an uncalled for kick for those who have tried to help, voluntarily and in their own time. None of this stuff is painting by numbers.

But it's nice to know when you're no longer appreciated.
