SMTP server (talktalk) Times Out

Hi
Just come across this problem happening with my Thunderbird Mail.
Have just gone to fibre and reverted to MS Edge from Chrome (now deleted). My wife's machine has also gone to the same fibre router but always used Chrome and still is able to send mail.
Any ideas? Obviously I have checked all the settings and all appear to be unchanged and in fact are the same as the other machine (except user name etc).
Can't find any help from Mozilla that's relevant.
If I need to remove Thunderbird and reinstall, how do I save all my retained emails and contacts.
I'll be grateful for any pointers.

Hi le loup,
Do you have any problems with your email if you log into Webmail from the TalkTalk website?
Thanks

Please ignore the unhelpful post by the talktalk rep. who is obviously unfamiliar with the Thunderbird email client.
You do not need to remove and reinstall Thunderbird.

OK I don't use talktalk but for the eight accounts that I have set up in Thunderbird, the User Name is just the actual User Name in the SMTP Server settings e.g. the (myusername) before the @talktalk.net in your post.0

But thanks for the thought.0 -
Well thanks all. The problem seemed to be that the Connection Security should be set, according to TalkTalk, as NONE.
Strange that as all the online advice from Thunderbird was to have security, it worked before the changes with security and my wife's connection works with security.
