Thanks for your advice thorganby, I got my nest up and running yesterday doing as you suggested by removing the link wire from RT and 24v and connecting 3 from Heatlink to RT on boiler. Also worth noting (for anybody else looking at this thread) is that the boiler also has to be switched on for it to then work, may seem obvious now, but wasn't mentioned in the almost non existent instructions.

I realise this is an old thread but am facing similar issues installing my Nest 3rd Gen with my Heatline CaprizPlus. Can I confirm that I need to run a wire from L on the HeatLink to L on the Boiler AND RT on the Boiler. Can this be one wire (split) or would it be best to wire in a separate one to ensure they both have adequate power.
This is in addition to running a wire from 3 on the HeatLink to L on the Boiler.
