  • You may want to tell your friend to look into getting a Travel credit card (zero forex) like the following:

    -Santander Zero
    -Halifax Clarity
    -Creation Everyday
    Or Lloyds Avios duo (£24 fee but additional benefit of Avios miles and free upgrade voucher if £7k spent in a year)
