I actually branched on to page 2 to see if this had already been posted
I was in today beginning the switch process and was told by the worker there that they've been given notice that this offer will be pulled by the end of the month.
Do i have any concrete evidence for this? No
Does it mean it WILL be pulled by the end of the month? No.
Would it be the first time that a bank employee has been wrong about info they've been given? No.
All i'd say is if you're thinking about getting it done then play safe & get it done before it's too late.
I suppose we'll see come December whether it was right or not, but at least my account will have been opened by then.

Might have been better if you'd "branched" to their website and read the offer T&Cs?...JustAnotherSaver wrote: »I actually branched on to page 2 to see if this had already been posted

Do i have any concrete evidence for this? NoOffer applies to successful applications received by 26 November 20170 -
Not really because i'm still going to get the £200.YorkshireBoy wrote: »Might have been better if you'd "branched" to their website and read the offer T&Cs?...
Plus i doubt i'm the only one on this board who doesn't read every single word in a 100 page set of T&Cs

It’s taken me an age to go through the account opening process but I think that I’m getting there although the only clue is a letter from them asking me whether my details are correct.
Edit: The letter arrived a couple of days ago.
I had to visit a branch and go through their procedure whereupon ‘computer said no’. The lovely lady at HSBC couldn’t understand why but said she’d follow it up the following week. I comfortably meet their criteria but, of course, there’s no obligation for them to offer an account.
Anyway, I would like to know from others how long the account opening is likely to take from this point (presuming that it is going ahead). I need to know as I’m off on holiday in 12 days time and will be away for around 3 1/2 weeks.0 -

I think it took nearly three months from my application to transfer for the bonus incentive. I've never experienced anything similar, Halifax was less than two weeks I think with the bonus paid before the transfer took place.0 -

I applied online and was told to go to a branch. I arranged that within a week but then didn’t hear anything for a month or so. Back to the branch to find out that my details hadn’t been uploaded as I was too late. I therefore had to arrange to go to a branch for a 75 minute meeting. If it all works out in the end I can live with it but it’s not a good start.
I’m now left with a small window in which the account to be opened and the switch initiated.
I do have the email address of the woman I spoke to at the branch. She is old school and I do trust her to help if she can.0 -
I got rejected last time so I didn't bother trying again. I think its because my wage falls below the monthly pay in so they may be concerned how I can operate the account (lol...).0

I applied yesterday online and was accepted. Does anyone know if you do the switch online that you don’t get the switching bonus? Or if that is ok to do? I mainly wanted the reg saver but an extra £200 would’ve been nice.0

I thought you could only switch in branch or on the phone.0 -

I didn't have to go to branch but by the time I was notified of the account being open and then rung up to switch I was technically out of time, before last Xmas. One reason I was out of time was due to bank holidays so to be fair the guy in the phone twigged straightaway and said that wasn't fair. I then raised a complaint at his suggestion, the switch was processed and rather than wait for the £50 for a year I got it as a compensation payment straightaway.0 -

Yes I've heard that before.
I earn enough for the account but my wages don't go into this account, the £1750 is transferred from another account and then bounce back out again.0
