Just got back from South Africa this morning so very relieved we already have 2 holidays booked in 2018 to look forward to!

    Easter 2018: Mexico
    Summer 2018: France
  • We're off to Berlin for a weekend in February. I've never been but everyone I know that has been loves it, so really looking forward to going.

I've just returned from a work trip to Barcelona and remembered how much I love it there. My other half has never been, so I might try to book a long weekend there too.
  • Some cracking holidays here. I think I'm more undecided than ever though;) I want to go to all those places!

We had planned to go to Boston or New York in February, but we've changed our mind now. Think I will need some sun on my bones by Feb, so maybe a week in the Canaries. Will have to be in the half term though, so pricy flights.

Looking for a weekend break in May for family birthday. I really fancy Istanbul. Any thoughts on safety concerns?

Also looking at Budapest and Bucharest.
Croatia definitely on the cards for next year. Pete,- I know you're a big fan.
I go away every year with a friend for a few days,- so have that to think about as well.

I'm just about to book a week in June for my daughter and I after she finishes her exams. Just looking for a week chilling in the sun with nice food. Flights to Portugal and Malaga are very reasonable. Wouldn't mind Cyprus again either though. Decisions decisions..
  • Has anyone been to Cape Town in February?

This year I went to the Austrian lakes (I like walking) but it rained every day I was there. I've booked a week in Madeira for next July and I'm really hoping for better weather!

No but I have been in January. Lovely and hot!
I didn't like it much though, but always wanted to go so I've been.

I would like to do more holidays, we have the money and the time, but somehow it all seems too much trouble......but we do enjoy it when I do take the trouble and we go. I just so hate packing I never know what to take, and then the unpacking and washing lol..........but I do want to go somewhere warm now it's getting chilly!!

Have spent a number of Februaries in Cape Town. Will generally be hot and sunny, though still a chance of high winds from time to time, although the probability of this declines towards the end of the month. Not as crowded as January either making it much easier to get around.

    I absolutely LOVE packing!
Nowadays I try and get a condo with a washer/dryer so I don't come home in winter with piles of washing.
    Sorted!
