Hope everyone is well. Various change has been potted since I last posted plus some vouchers have gone in. May not be able to pot much in March as have to pay for travel and accommodation to go say my goodbyes to my Grandad.

Hi all, still potting away, still no roadkill, DGDs don't come to us after school now (Mum had to finish work due to illness) but DGS beats me to it now! Even in the house, he spots any change, shouts 'piggy where are you?' and it's fed to the piggy bank, I have to put my purse high up and out of his reach, he has been known to try to put notes in it before now! Doesn't ask for pennies, it's pounds, someone's been taking note of what Granny does I think.
Hope you're all staying warmSealed Pot Challenge member 28

Apart from £1.25 change from cornershop I havent been out or bought anything,so the pot is probably feeling deprived.:( But I do still have quite a lot of cash still left in my purse,will have quite a good haul for the pot after the fortnightly purse emptying on Sunday.:D
Not spending much because I got an Asd@ grocery delivery last Friday,and as Mr Dusty is away I am not spending everyday on his fresh meat,fish,bread and milk etc.He likes fresh food freshly cooked,rarely eats convenience food,so we shop most days of the week - and so get quite a bit of shrapnel usually.
I am eating out of the freezer mostly and so am not spending much. I allocated £80 to the fortnight's household budget,and still have £50 left.:jWould probably only spend less than a tenner the rest of this second week of my fortnight budget,but I have my son and daughters birthdays on 4th and 6th March,the whole family are coming over this weekend,so I will be feeding the horde,but still hope for a goodly amount on Sunday.:j
Glad I did the big shop,the weather is atrocious,4 inches of snow already,tomorrow we are promised blizzards.Oh joy.I am hibernating,and reading:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

End of February,and its been quite a satisfactory month with regards to savings.I regard my House and Home fund with a credit union with a branch nearby as part of my Sealed Pot.Thats where I physically put a lot of my silver and copper,as they take coins without comment,no restrictions on number of bags,and indeed you can hand in any odd amounts,no need for reaching £5 or £10.
I dont want to build up a lot of coins in my pot,because my bank is 2 bus rides away,limits the number of bags,and doesnt have a coin counter machine of any sort. I would NOT enjoy trying to drag a lot of coins from a pot in November!
Anyhoo,I put £50 in the CU this month,and have 19 £1 coins and 3 £2 and probably quite a bit of shrapnel that went in the pot.Also £20 in notes,which is fantastic,considering I had to save for 4 birthdays this month so I think I've done so well. Such a relief to know I have backup funds for such events,and money for Xmas is piling up very nicely. I reckon Xmas and birthdays for my big family adds up to around £1000 (13 people to buy for:eek:),and I am doing very well,instead of scratting desperately around for cash.What a relief. :j:j:beer::beer:0 -
the end of another month :eek: where did that go
Hope all of you potters are well
