Lots of various bits of coinage have been potted. Some very good amounts. I hope it pays off next year.

I have joined park christmas savings club with a target of £400. Works out to be about £9.30 for the next 43 weeks. 1st £9.30 already deposited. Will continue with my lovely pot which already has a few coins (I don’t know how much- I want to surprise myself). Very excited and here’s to a prosperous 2018!

Been missing for a bit but determined to get back on it. Christmas has been expensive and some not very good stuff has been going on.

Sorry to hear of your health problems Sue Wishing you a speedy recovery. I'm impressed you can spell diarrhoea (he said copying her spelling!). For most of my life I thought it had an 'L' on the end, which is a Bristolian thing/ the way we speak.

Really great to see more new joiners - welcome to you all. It's a very freindy and supportive challenge

    £5.75 potted in Wedding Fund

Is it bad that I waited until it went past 00.00 am to deposit money into my jar to start in the new year ? :rotfl:

£5 was christmas money but I already owe myself gift money for everyday expenses so what's another £5. Anyway I wanted to kick off my wedding fund with more than just 75p.

As we are OAPs we arrange our finances on a fortnightly basis,so I usually do a fortnightly Asda online shop, which was due to take place on 25th Dec. I am happy to say with all the stuff bought for Xmas still around,I havent had to do a big shop yet. I would love it if I could stretch it out till next Monday! I stocked up early in December with tinned stuff, and dried goods and we still a little meat off Xmas, a couple of pieces of salmon and some pasties I froze, and definitely enough of my frozen veg and summer fruits for my Slimming World diet,so I hope to get away with only spending about £20 this week on milk, bread, fruit and veg,and the weekend joint. So this weekend I hope to have a nice little sum for the pot.:T:T
The only shopping done last week came to £9.97 at the corner shop,so a measly 3p for the pot.:(

    Happy new year potters :)

£3.00 in the pot for me today. Have set up a savings account this morning with the Post Office because I am going to do the 365 savings thread as well as this challenge, and then come November I will add my pot savings to the account.
