    Morning all

Rounded down account and potted £1.91 today.
    Every little helps

I do this too Motivated but don't count it into my pot (I like to keep that one a mystery!).
I round up all my bils and put that amount into my billing account. Each time a bill comes out I put the remaining pennies into a savings account. My energy bill went down by £12/month but I still put the extra in the bills account and transfer to my savings later because I figure I won't miss it. It definitely adds up quicker than I thought it would.

£20 potted for me today - another week without spending my weekly money. :A
Won't manage it this week though as I need to pop out today and get the OH a New Years Eve present! (Christmas, NY, his birthday end of Jan, Valentines... it's an expensive time of year!)
    LBM: October 2016: £20,130 / Current: May 2019: £12,576 37.53%
    DFD: [STRIKE]February 2024[/STRIKE] April 2022?

Thanks DU for the heads up

I was thinking the same thing this morning, I don’t want to know how much I have until pot opening time. I want a surprise :D

I may use the online rounding down account for something else and actually pot varied amounts specifically for Christmas.

I’m doing so many challenges lol I’m confusing myself

Will come up with a plan this afternoon

90p potted for me today. Change from bus fare and from penny’s I took to work.

Not sure how often I will pot as I’m also trying to spend less but every little penny will help I’m sure!

I’ve got dd birthday coming up soon! I’ve managed to pick up some pandora goodies for her back in January 2017 that I’ve kept hidden so saved myself a fortune there.

So chuffed to actually be a part of this thread instead of just lurking!

I'll be potting some money tonight,
And it will be going towards the wedding. Other wise it'll take too long for me to reach my top 3 saving goals
(Help-to-buy isa , Emergency Fund and the wedding)

I'm putting £100 into emergency fund when i get paid and anything left over from the month will be chucked into that fund, then £200 max goes into help-to-buy. Any change will go towards wedding whilst emergency fund is being funded...after that it'll go into wedding.

I think thats the best way for now.

Will updated with potted amount later
    Debt to fiancee - £404.00 (left to pay) | Save £12,000 in 2018 - £371.90 all together|2,018 items in 2018 (8/2,018)

Happy New Year to all,and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
I have done my final pot for 2017-emptied my purse of all its remaining coins (there are no notes in there !!).
So,into the pot I have just put:
    £2 coins x 4
    a £1 coin,and
    £1.35 in smaller coins

Total for my final 2017 pot is £10.35 :j
Still haven't bought my pots yet.All potting is being chucked into an old tin that chocolate bars came in a few years ago.But I don't dip into it,so all good.

Very many congratulations Hicksy, to your OH and Jack also!!!! I take it it’s either a boy or girl?!!! :undecided

Lovely to have you stopping by again, Fiasco!!! :D Well done with your savings last year, and for this year too!

Very well done skilly! I was shocked when you didn’t return, but I didn’t give up hope!!! :D

So sorry not to have been back earlier Potters, but to start with someone rang from the Endoscopy Department to say they had sadly gone awry with bookings and could I come in on Friday instead of Thursday! I must admit DH & I were both a bit gutted, but mistakes happen easily so. I was really ill on the morning of the day itself... you wouldn’t believe the whole fiasco if I told you but DH & I can at least have a darn good laugh about it all.

Everything went fairly well, the Colonoscopy was all clear, but polyps were found in the Gastroscopy; they took biopsies from both procedures and want to do more tests again next year! Oh what fun but when it comes to health we’re fortunate they care enough for us all!

I’m still having awful diarrhoea so forgive my not replying to you all but I’m having problems staying in one place for long!!!!! :(

Keep up the terrific savings SPCers!!! :j

Have a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year!!!!

    Sue xx
