Hello! I would love to join this challenge please! I'm hoping to use the envelope method of budgeting in the New Year, so I'll have more change that will get frittered away if I don't put it someplace safe.
I've read through the first post and got gifted a terramundi-style pot for passing my driving test last month (it looks like a terramundi but it has a hole in the bottom) which had £1 in from my mum. I've added another £10.95 of tips from work so it's off to a healthy-ish start!
A really warm welcome to you tantaraza (SPC No 006)!It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoying the banter. Your No is 322 although you'll always find it at the bottom of the list on the 3rd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 1st Nov 2018.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your number on your sig, it really helps me.
A shiny gold star is all yours for a great welcome, jakes-mum, many thanks. :staradmin Not just your DD who received a nice surprise at the shop then! Kind man! :rotfl:
Little and often works just fine Nicnak!
A very good Tuesday all SPCers! :hello: I hope you all keep well as you prepare for Christmas!!!!! :j:j That bitter weather is on it's way down again - look out for the gales and rain forst though!!
For those members who really aren’t well or who are low for whatever reason, take great care of yourselves, and here’s hoping these {{{{HUGS}}}} from us all will help you feel well soon. :kisses3:
Very well done DancingUnicorn, I think you’ve also achieved a great peace of mind! :j
Well done MrsShazbat, keep hard at it!
I’m glad you enjoyed your shopping Saturday, 32b3, mind you we certainly paid the price in that bitter cold! Brilliant saving too!! :TList_Maker wrote: »Another £4.20 in the pot after meeting my friend for drinks. Would have been another £4 but the £2 coins don’t fit in the pot!!
Great savings List Maker - but - you have a pot that you can’t fit £2 coins into???!!!!! Ok, but best get 'em changed to £1s surely so they fit nicely! Anything rather than lose out!!
Excellent potting Emily!!!! However, have you gone back in time by giving in giving your DH a £1 NOTE??!!!! :eek:adventureofmemories wrote: »Guys, do you pot 1ps & 2ps?
You can be sure that I Pot absolutely EVERYTHING, adventureofmemories, each in different pots (only for easier counting), I couldn’t possibly NOT save it all!!! Do whatever you find is best with you. PS. I’m not surprised you had a rant! What a lark that was, unnecessary expenditure too, I’d have been fuming!!!!!!
Very well saved Chutney and delighted to hear you really enjoyed such a good weekend!! :jJaydee92 wrote:Many thanks for my number I am unsure how to edit signature on my phone but will try and figure it out. I do not have a target, anything will come in handy for next christmas.
£2.11 potted so far
JD x (number 322)
A good beginning for you Jaydee!! Excellent additional money in the pot from sales made!!!!:D
PS: To add your SPC No to your signature; go up to the top solid green bar, then click on User CP (below the Forum Etiquette smilie things). You'll see a list drop down on the left, click that and scroll down until you see "Edit Signature". You will then see a panel in the centre and it's there that you can add you SPC 322. You can also add any other names of MSE Forums to which you might belong. After doing all that BE SURE TO SAVE SIGNATURE below the box! After that just refresh the page and you will see your SPC No there! Any other problems be sure to sing out as you did when having troubles, we're always only too glad to help.
Ah but that huge 40p is a whole lot better than anything smaller, arc2014, especially if it had been 0p!!! Be happy and proud!
Hi again mummytummy! Lovely to see you back again, especially letting us know just how long it is til we declare??!! Knowing you your tin will soon be clinking away at a blissful rate!!
Oh dear 166million, sorry to hear about your problems with the coin-counting saver, none of us has ever had any great success with the darned things! Another money making idea that sadly seems to have been a failure!! You save in whichever way is best for you and - be really proud of yourself!!
I'm so thrilled you and your DD had such a wonderful time in each others company, siju! Doesn't it make a really lovely day of it all!
Great potting Florence!!!
Have a lovely Tuesday, folks! Don’t forget - pot well! :j

I’ve potted $20 this week. I won’t be potting as much this challenge as I went a bought a new car and am aiming to pay the loan of 2 years early. It’s so nice having a car with air con haha.
I’ve finally finished all my Christmas shopping, just waiting on the last of the packages to be delivered. My housemate and I started dating after over 2 years of living together so we’ve gone a little overboard with this Christmas.Number 4950 -
£10 potted, lets see if I can make my total this year.
