Good morning! Sig updated with my number. Thank you for the message Sue-UU.

I don't think anything will be potted this week as we have had on line orders and no cash. I've done an order today and will take the spare budget out in cash so I'm not using the card. Any coins at the end of the week will be potted, notes will be rolled over until the end of the month and then hopefully potted, will be a bit more leftover after Christmas, hopefully.

Lol, no worries, though i'm obviously rubbish at explaining!

I have individual pots that are all sealed, so one for notes, one for £2 coins, one for £1 coins and one for silver. On pot opening day I open each pot in turn, split it into individual coin types and bag what I can. I then change my odds and s*ds up at the bank to make up more full bags, so if I have £18 in £1 coins i'll change up some of the 5ps, 10ps and 20p's I have spare into more £1 coins so I have another full bag to cash in for notes :)

That is brilliant, thank you.I am going to do the same,I think.

    Hello to all new members!

£5 potted today. Nearly bought a magazine and coffee with it, but glad I've put it to better use.

Excellent potting seekingthesunlight and amazing self discipline when you decided NOT to buy a magazine and coffee!! :T Be very proud of yourself!!!!!

A well-earned gold star for you 3forholidays! :staradmin

So you should be happy ETO! You budgeted excellently to be able to pot £5!!!!! :j Another SPC member to be so very proud of yourself!!!!!!

Sadly that’s life DancingUnicorn, some good times but always the more difficult and expensive ones too! I hope it's not too costly for you, still, at least you’ll know your car is safe when your wheel is fixed. Well done with having potted the £5er, now have as many NSDs as is possible and be really pleased with yourself for looking at life with a positive outlook!!!!! :D

Another positive member eh 166million! Why didn’t I think of mossy’s half a Christmas Tree so sensibly as you wisely did!!!! :rotfl:
£43 for cinema tickets, jakes-mum?!!!! I know our young’ns always say how wicked the prices are but most of them get them via their phones! Is that something you could do?!

It’s good to see you back on, charlie tribe, but please don’t worry about the on line shopping stopping you from potting any cash this week. Pot when and what you’re able to and be happy with that. Remember also that many SPC members shop online and so have the same problem. Be happy and proud that you’re doing all you’re able... then look ahead to after Christmas! :xmassmile

Just as a PS Saver-upper, I save in exactly the same way as jakes-mum, but sadly never as much!!! :(
Look forward to a good week ahead Potters, especially potting wise!!

I know, I nearly had a heart attack, normally DH gets in free as I have a CEA card but it had expired and my new one didn't turn up in time (no doubt it will fall on the mat tomorrow :( ) Those tickets were for 2 adults a student and a child as well, i've paid less for a meal out! :( Film was excellent though, even with DD having a chat the entire way through about what was going on :rotfl: 'Is this really going to happen mum?' (we went to see Geostorm), 'is that bloke going to die?', 'can you really get sucked out of a space station?', 'what is that man doing? is he naughty?' and on and on it went :o The poor people around me, don't know what was more annoying, her chuntering on or me repeatedly going 'shhh! you have to be quiet!' :rotfl:

I use old coffee tins :D they may be ugly with all that tape but they are FREEEEEEEEEEEE! (and why buy one when you could be potting that quid!) :rotfl:

DD has been a poorly bunny today, sore throat, temperature, headache, cold symptoms, she didn't even finish her lunch or tea and that is very unlike her as she LOVES her food :( she's in bed now but i'll have to wake her up at 10pm for some more calpol :(

Banked SPC 10 proceeds today and transferred into my LISA, so already worth 25% more than it was yesterday. Seems sad seeing a nearly empty pot. But just serves as reminder to pot EVERYTHING! The other half couldn’t believe how much we had saved in only a few months (we were late to the party) every penny really does count.

Have decided to try a new app called chip which automatically saves amounts from your current account to a saving account based on your spending patterns. So that will contribute to my pot if I decide to keep it going
