    Hello to all new members!

£5 potted today. Nearly bought a magazine and coffee with it, but glad I've put it to better use.

    Evening all.

Lovely to see all the newbies joining this year.

Well I'm potting £5 this week, this is what's left of my weekly budget. Pretty happy with that as normally I spend my whole weekly budget.

Will aim for more next week.

    Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Hello to all the newbies :)

I’ve not managed much potting as it’s been a very expensive few weeks :( my two front tyres needed replacing, then my front lights went. Just got the invoice through for the tyres and he’s added a note that one of my wheels is buckled so now I need to go investigate how much that will cost. *rolls eyes*

I thought I’d spent all my “allowance” and was living on no spend days until payday next weekend, then I found a fiver wrapped up in a receipt (not sure how that got past me I’m usually really on the ball with what’s in my purse!).

As I’d already got used to the idea of having no cash, I’ve potted the fiver. Not a good start this month, but I’ve got a whole year to make the rest up but I’m 1% of the way there!

If you buy the top half of a chrimble tree, it will just look like a small chrimble tree, so I'd go with that mossy

Jakes mum thank you for explaining your [STRIKE]potty-ness[/STRIKE] how you arrange your pots.Just to confirm, you have a couple of open pots/holding pots with different coinage, which you change up to notes, which then go into your sealed coffee jar?xx

Lol, no worries, though i'm obviously rubbish at explaining!

I have individual pots that are all sealed, so one for notes, one for £2 coins, one for £1 coins and one for silver. On pot opening day I open each pot in turn, split it into individual coin types and bag what I can. I then change my odds and s*ds up at the bank to make up more full bags, so if I have £18 in £1 coins i'll change up some of the 5ps, 10ps and 20p's I have spare into more £1 coins so I have another full bag to cash in for notes :)

My bank is very nice and are happy to take as many full bags as I can carry in one go and will do a little bit of swapping of coins to help me out if I need it (as long as there is no huge queue behind me)

It all sounds very complicated but its not looool!

Well I went to the cinema finally last night! but paid for the tickets with my card (£43! ) and DH bought me a hot chocolate today so I don't have any change :( might have to feel up DH and see if he's hiding any :rotfl:
