No potting yet, but I have to visit the supermarket on the way home tonight, so I'm hoping for some lovely money to feed my pot. :D

    Hello,

Could I join in with this please? I'm a bit sceptical about managing to save in this method, especially since I don't use much cash, so let's see if I could get £50 by next year.

Just need to find a pot. What else do I need to do? Put a number somewhere?

Sorry, can you tell I'm new to this?!

Welcome Katiepants, you are most welcome to join us! :D

Our delightful leader Sue-UU will appear soon and allocate you your very own one of a kind, not to be lost stolen or strayed SPC number. She will ask you to desplay it with pride on your signature for all to see and should you be a 'banker' (someone who likes to bank their pottings throughout the year) to pop any amounts you bank next to it so no pennies get missed on declaring day :D

Have a read of post one that holds lots of very interesting and informative information in it about declaration day, what we can include in our 'pottings' etc ad any questions you may have you can always ask on here and we'll all be happy to help you out.

Don't worry about being sceptical, you are not the first and no doubt wont be the last, a lot of us find it an easy way to save as we chuck our loose change in a pot and as its such small denominations we don't even miss it, others of us are very hard core and pretty much every time we break a note all the coins get potted! Its a very addictive past time :rotfl:

Now grab yourself a pot, can be anything you like! A terramundi (if your flush), a £land sealed tin or even like the more frugal members (like me) an old coffee tin with the top sliced open and a shed load of cellotape round it :rotfl: it don't have to be pretty it just has to hold cash!

We are delighted to have you with us, katiepants. A VERY warm welcome to you! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 3rd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 1st Nov 2018.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your number on your sig, it really helps me.

Great, thanks for the helpful posts.

Still need to find a suitable pot, but have started it off with some change out of my purse that was annoying and heavy.
