IPlayer and new LG TV

Hey there,
My Dad (75) has bought himself a new LG TV.... 49UJ750V
It's connected to the internet, other streaming services work, but he's devastated he can't get Iplayer to work.
Displays the following error "Something went wrong loading this programme....." and seems to show an error code 02001
Any ideas to help?

Has he updated the firmware on the TV ?

Yes, it loads fine. You can browse and select programmes, the fault is when you press play IYSWIM....{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

I don't think it can be removed, and I looked for an update app option but that didn't come up...?

iPlayer has gone through a few updates recently, not sure how the "app" on a TV gets updated.
On my new Samsung TV the iPlayer works fine, so it looks like an issue specific to LG0 -
Ultimately if you dont succeed you could get something like a firestick and get the iplayer on your tv through that.0

BBC iPlayer now requires a login. Are you logged into the LG app, if so try logging out and back in.0
