match.com auto-renew

I too am having an issue with match.com. I subscribed, but no longer wish to use it. I'm on the site and following the instructions for how to cancel, but when I go to manage my subscription it just says
"For technical reasons, your Pass can only be cancelled during the 24h after purchase and 48h before the termination date of the current Pass."
But what does it mean by 48h... within 48h... 48h on the dot..? So essentially I'm going to have to set-up repeating reminders every few hours from 17th December on wards to see if it lets me unsubscribe from then. Which is almost 5 months away. I've never seen a company like this. They are quite literally doing everything they can to keep claiming your money even though they know 100% that you no longer wish to use their services. It's completely despicable.
I'm not trying to claim money back, I'm simply trying to inform them that I wish to terminate the current agreement at the end of the current term. But there seems to be no way to actually do that!
Everybody steer clear of match.com - they are an awful, unethical company!
Edit: As an update - I've actually completely cancelled the account now. So there is no longer any way for me to even get into the "manage my subscriptions". I'll see if they continue to take me money from December, as I feel surely that has to be illegal if they do.0 -
This happened to me on okcupid some years ago. I didn't cancel my auto renew and suddenly about £150 came out. I contacted them and they cancelled it and refunded me, unlike match have done for you. Nobody should be refused a refund for a service that they have pre-paid for that they didn't express they wanted. Its like pre-GDPR rules where you are auto-assigned yes to everything prior to expressing consent. And start-up consent doesn't equate to all-time consent. I mean it's online dating, if you left the site,it means it worked, or something did!!!0

If you think you are going to meet someone decent on match dot com, then I am sorry, you are living in cloud coo coo land.
Phone up the bank and get it reversed.
You will never meet someone on that skank.0
