I really can't get excited about a 0.25% increase. 1.00% might have made some sense.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0

Might be stuck at 0.5% for another 7 years for all we know.0

Yorkshire BS announced they will increase Savings rates.
Hope they increase the rates of our N&P eFamily/Family regular savers.
Been stuck at around 3.25% for 8/9 years.0 -

Extremely unlikely. Rates that high are not linked to the base rate as per my previous post. Did they drop 0.25% last year?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Presumably NS&I rates might be going up at some point.0

On the YBS website it says
"The Society is pleased to announce that we will be adding the full Bank Rate increase of 0.25% to all our variable rate accounts"
Hope it includes their N&P accounts.
Edit: It says the same on their N&P website.

Is the regular saver a variable rate account? Mine certainly isn't as the rate is fixed for the duration of the account.Speculator wrote: »"The Society is pleased to announce that we will be adding the full Bank Rate increase of 0.25% to all our variable rate accounts"Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
