Parking eye should I appeal

My daughter has just received a parking eye fine of 100 or 60 if paid within 14days

She went to McDonalds at 10pm with her friend and stayed til 11.30 the first hour was free but she should have paid for after that but she don't realise you had to pay at night as well

Because this was 30 minutes over and she hasn't bought a ticket should she just pay it or isitworth appealing

Thanks

Of course it is worth appealing. This forum wouldn't exist if it wasn't. You need to read the step by step guide that's cunningly hidden in a sticky thread that tells Newbies to read it first.

if she was a genuine customer she should be getting MICKEY DEES to get the pcn cancelled

on this forum we expect people to appeal because unless the PPC has all their ducks in a row they are on a loser

the signage should be such that there is no question of the driver knowing they have to pay , although why you have to pay to park at mickey dees is beyond me

I could understand it if they said the VRM needs to be registered on a terminal inside if people wish to stay longer

but as they had the custom, they should not be penalising people for being there longer than an hour for partaking of their wares

they should be more than happy at getting the custom and not driving future customers elsewhere due to thoughtless and petty rules

    that my opinion anyway

it would never enter my head either that you need to pay to eat and take your time at mickey dees , so I have every sympathy with the driver

I have just tried speaking to Mcdonalds in 2 saints retail park in Ormskirk, to be told they were not going to get involved and anyway he was too busy (what a bunch of t0ssers).
Definatley wont be going there anymore, and if anyone is reading this I suggest you don't as well
So much for looking after the customer, Gobsmacked

put a written complaint in to their CEO and name and shame them, plus a copy of the PCN too

I do not believe this is your fault or the drivers fault, its a modern day stealth sc@m

I wish I could, but I don't think I would get anywhere as it is a franchise.

It looks like I will have to pay it, other people with a more watertight case than me have been taken to court.

Before you go chucking money away I would have a go at appealing to POPLA. Parking Eye aren't impossible to beat.

the PE appeal is the blue text appeal in post #1 of the NEWBIES sticky thread , CHOOSE keeper on their website AND SUBMIT IT "AS IS"

its the "hidden" thread where we "hide" all the relevant info so people cannot find it , lol ;) (hint)

and post #3 deals with popla appeals once you have the popla code from PE
