How to get unlocked N95 on vodafone?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new Vodafone contract with Noke N95. Is there any reputable online retailers or high street shops that can be fairly guaranteed to provide the unlocked/full-functioning ones, since I heard N95's from vodafone are locked to the network and has some functions, such as VOIP, disabled? Thanks.

You can flash the firmware with a generic version for free, even with a locked phone. This will then allow you all the functions of the N95.

And if you want to actually unlock the phone (so you can put another networks SIM in) then you could try phoning customer support, I told them I need to transfer my numbers over from my old SIM (O2) and they gave my the unlock code 3 days later.

Nokia has just released the unlocking codes for any BB5 generation (N95, E65, 7373, 7930 ...) so most places will be available to unlock it. If you have Nokia repair centre near you (you can find them on Nokia's website), then it's best going there as they don't void your 12 month guarantee as they are licensed to do such things. They should be able to unlock and reflash the phone to get all the features.
