Not all employers are that bad though, and she could look for work elsewhere. My son has just been offered his first part time job while he is at college. He is being paid the same as the other (older) members of staff - and as they get paid above minimum wage, he is earning almost double the minimum wage for his age. He is receiving full training, including First Aid. Any training over a certain length of time includes a free lunch. His DBS has been paid for. He volunteered there previously, so he knows that it is a good place to work for.

If your daughter has four years experience, and is unhappy in her current employment, she should be looking for something else. I'm not saying that the company is right in what they are doing, but your daughter has a choice. Her experience and commitment will be a positive addition to her CV.
