What is a 'new' BT customer?

I left BT almost 18 months ago to go to SSE Broadband at £21 a month phone + fibre. That deal is coming to an end and I'm shopping around. BT are offering £120 card and Quidco is offering £75 cashback for new customers. However on leaving BT I kept a sim-only mobile running and they didn't remove the £5 discount I got for being a BT customer.
So with an existing BT sim, would I still be a new customer?

This indicates notIf you are a BT Mobile customer, then your BT Mobile contract is treated separately from any other BT products or services.
But BT are in the best position to confirm either way, especially if the cashback and card are deal breakers for you.0 -
With Sky,a new customer is someone who doesn't have any service with them ,though they will let you haggle a special deal and some deals state new to [ whatever service is on offer ] eg new to tv,but have a phone line with them
The tv and internet/phone services are treated separately, but the question was about being considered as a new customer,so as advised, ask the provider.0
