Really struggling at the moment to just get through the day to day things that have to be done, so not been doing much money making. I had my car MoT today and they told me the brakes fluid should have been done last year in the service, so I got it done whilst it was in. Was very happy when my other half reminded me (I had forgotten), that I negotiated 5 year free servicing as part of the deal when I bought the car - so happy days as that was free! Also for the confusion they gave me a discount on the new wipers I needed. Not really adding any of this as extra, but was all good as I find doing all this stuff stressful since it is never really convenient to be carless.

Anyway - whilst I was waiting for my car I made £0.24 from Citizenme! I also managed to add more stuff to eBay last week and so have about 40 items listed at the moment with only about 5 more to sort through. I have bids on 4 different items that are ending at the weekend at the moment.. all very low value, but if I am lucky it'll add up to £10 net of fees... a small start.

Oh.. for those of you that do OnePoll, I got an email today saying that as I am a loyal customer, they are lowering the payout from £40 to £25! Just wondered for anyone else that does it whether other people have this and whether it really is a loyalty thing or if they have lowered it for everyone?

It does incentivise me to do it more as it always seems like an impossible target and I only get a pay out once a year. May see if I can get there for end of Dec/start of Jan as that'll be a nice boost to the new year.

    Evening folks

    Well done all the money-makers :T :T

I've updated the list of challengers up to here (post 2)

Whoopee doo !! - I have great news to share
Had a phone call today saying that we've been successful in our interviews and will be working abroad next year. Job probably starts March -ish, but exactly when and where we won't know exactly until end Dec/Jan but I'm over the moon

I've made a start with £17.03 interest from bank acs today :j

Regarding the bank switch thingy - I already have five interest-paying current accounts (three with linked regular saving acs) and one has all the added bundle of insurances, breakdown etc. With the bank rate going up today I'm going to sit tight and wait to see what offers come up over the next month.

Hope you all have a great Friday

  • Lynne.......thats brilliant news!! So pleased for you! What an adventure to look forward to!!

£9 moc used today at sainsburys. Was a bit savvy with shopping today. Went just over the £60 needed to use voucher and then went to use rest of shopping money at the new fangled Lidls that has just reopened near me. Got a free box of washing powder as their offer for spending over £20 :D

I have a few extra points vouchers for sainsburys.......does anyone know if you can use more than one on each shop?

Was just wondering if anyone had used Clickworker? Stumbled across it, but wasn't sure how good it was/if it's worth whatever they pay.
