Hi all, thanks for the new thread. Sorry I haven't been around much, struggling somewhat, I love my job but can't stand the attitude of some of the people I work with, and having a hard time - management aren't interested and I don't know what to do. It's affecting my mental health, and I am trying to work out how I can give up work!! (I wish)

Still, I'm in for the new challenge this month, aiming for £7 a day, total of £210. I've had £3.47 from Qmee, so I'm off the mark!

    Good luck everyone

Ok bit late off the mark but can I rejoin for November please.

Oct went so well I want to up may target to £25 a day, so £750 total.

MB £98.62 and writing £25.52 so far so a great start.

Unfortunately at the end of last month OH went to try to fix the leaky sink waste pipe again-we had been keeping the kitchen going till we saved up the cash to get it sorted. Unfortunately a u-bend change then led to the old waste on the sink crumbling away and coming off in his hand.

We couldn't get a new sink the same dimensions-old was was weird shape and very old. Also once sink was out the worktop was rotten and crumbled away as well. Ordered new worktops from a brill local supplier who cuts them to size-joints and everything.

Unfortunately the worktop removal showed us how rotten the cupboard carcasses were and black mold down the back of the wall!!!

So queue ripping out cupboards and washing up in the bath for a weel .

My lovely Sister and Mum both have alot more cash than us (don't begrudge them at all we choose to have 4 kids, Sis has a career she is brill at) BUT they both immediately offered some cash to help towards it so that was £150, they also both said do we want B & Q vouchers for crimbo as well. THEN inlaws heard about it as as we had recently sorted some stuff out for them fuel savings and helped then claim back £1000, gave OH another £200.

TBH we are gobsmacked how lovely all the family have been although I feel a bit bad taking their money, even tho if I had it and they needed it would do the same for them.

Even with the cash off them and budgeting carefully we still had to use up alot of what I managed to make extra in October.

Still walls treated for mold and allowed to dry out, then painted to seal. New bottom cupboards in and done holes for hob and sink in worktops. OH is out working at mo but oven is in so I can use that and hopefully sink and hob in tonight or tomorrow morning.

Just doing some drawer insides myself. So far looks good and is so nice. Will need to do the tiles and top cupboards as we go along and cash comes in, and could have done with waiting till the new year, but hopefully should look good for crimbo.

Most expensive ubend ever tho

Trying to see it as doing us a favour as we do tend to prevaricate rather than getting on with things, now no choice lol.
