Awww nuts! The council have announced they're putting up CT by 3% for the next 3 years
£0.18 paid off a CC.
DD seems to be getting over the hump of whatever she had (still unsure if it was chicken pox as she has literally 2 scabbed spots). Despite the hard work, I am so glad to be out of the office and back in her good(ish) books. Lord is she clingy!
Spreadsheets updated (skint, but paid next Tuesday). Clearsc0re credit report has regained all the points lost last month :rotfl:
If, like me, you find the Frugalw0ods blog to be nauseating, the comments on this Guardian article are hilarious!0 -
3% you've got off lightly there. More like 5% here.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Could be worse, we could have an £800+ mortgage payment as well... Oh, wait! :eek:0

I haven't read the comments on the Frugalwoods Guardian article yet ... oh joy
I'm glad DD is properly on the mend, Ed.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I've not read their blog for months, maybe years, but I'll pop back there later when I get a minute
A good proportion of the comments I read are from the internet retirement police railing against them for not being retired. Thing is, I don't see any mention of being retired in the book excerpt, just the headline and sub headline, both of which will have been written by Guardian staffers, not the author.
Bait and switch clickbait headline, get the clicks, enrage readers when they don't receive what they expected, receive rewards in the form of comments/engagement and viral sharing of page if all goes well. Seems the guardian is no better than any other outlet.0 -
I think that's just the internet SSS
I mostly liked the (entirely fair) comments that they're smug gits0 -
I would absolutely be the smuggiest of smuggy smug gits if I were in their position0

I stopped reading when she said started to say please & thank you. I thought they were both supposed to be well brought up!0

£1.10 paid off a CC (recycled some Am@zon vouchers to buy button cell batteries to replace the dud ones in a colour changing purple ghost)
I like that DD has turned throwaway Halloween tat gifted by some of our friends into a regular nightlight/toy :T0 -
