Master sockets vs power adapters for internet
Comments
-
Powerline adapters can work well when both ends of the connection are on the same ring main. There will be a loss of speed compared with an Ethernet cable, but that might still be acceptable for your needs.
However there is a very significant loss of speed where the circuit crosses the consumer unit from one ring or spur to another. So for example if your kitchen sockets are on a separate circuit to your lounge / dining room you may find that the Powerlines don't work well.0
