I live in a semi detached house. My neighbour and i both have a parking space each on our shared driveway and 1 shared space between these owned spaces. I would like to buy my neighbours right to the shared space but not sure what to offer them. Does anyone know what the space is worth, how much i should offer and how to alter this on ownership.

Offer them what you think it's worth. They will either accept or counter offer or decline to sell at all. If they do agree to sell, you'll probably need a solicitor to deal with the legal work and Land Registry. You may need to pay your neighbour's legal fees too if you want them to agree to sell to you.0

I'd suggest it is essential. This is not a straightforward run-of-the-mill house purchase.0 -

This isn't really a motoring issue - the property forums might be the better place to be asking about stuff like this.0

Do you have any on street parking permits nearby? What do they cost? A parking place would be valued at at least enough to buy a permit for the foreseeable future. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

As it currently stands, both properties have their own private parking space and there is one shared space between the two private ones and it is this that the OP is interested in buying.0
