I have been looking to buy a Bush ''32 HD LED Television from Argos but I can find no details about a warranty on the TV . Do Argos provide a warranty when you buy a TV from them or do you have to purchase it separately ?

A higher priced tv would give a good warranty period and somewhere like Richer Sounds is probably cheaper anyway.
Bush, Ferguson and a couple of other companies, whose names I can't recall used to be the working man's bargain, but these brands were merged and some names sold on ,so Bush is not the reliable workhorse of years gone by.0 -
The tv will come with a minimum 12 monthy warranty by law.

There is no requirement for a manufacturer or retailer to give any sort of warranty.
Please evidence your ' 12 months by law' idea.0 -

It's actually 2 years

Excuse me one moment ....
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Not the old "EU 2 year rule" again!
Ahem ... Sorry about that.
The "EU 2 year rule" is rubbish ... the intention behind it is already covered in UK legislation, wherein you actually have 6 years (yes, 6*) rather than 2 within which to bring a claim in relation to faulty goods. And that is all the EU rule says ... it is NOT a warranty period.
* 6 years from purchase/delivery in E+W, 5 years from discovery of a fault in Scotland. (Not sure about NI).0 -
Upto 6 years and it takes into account wear and tear0

So you're agreeing with me now?
This quote from that article is complete rubbish ... the EU "law" does NOT say this:European law does, however, provide that all goods must have at least a two-year warranty.0 -
