Should I be worried?

I've some for sale notes in my car windows.
Yesterday, I passed a car very similar to mine, same colour, age, model etc.
I drove home and the car followed me. Pulled up and a nice chappy jumps out and comes over
Interested in buying the car but didn't ask the questions I would expect.
Now, the thing that is slightly concerning me is that he took a picture of the front of the car (number plate). This and that he already had the same car and the lack of questioning has got be slightly worried.

What was he asking??......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
If he wanted your reg plate he could have had it without leaving his car.0

Yeah, he might be wanting to do an HPI or check parts compatibility, to buy (or steal parts).
I'd make a note of what you remember of him in case anything happens, though.0 -
Very easy for him to have a copy of your number plate made up. That way he can try to avoid MOT, tax and insurance.
I'd put a distinctive emblem (eg. a GB sticker) somewhere on the back of your car, so you can prove it wasn't you if any speed camera fines come through.0 -

How would that help?
If I received a nip through the post tomorrow, I could then stick something on the back of my car and claim that as this wasn't showing on the photo, it couldn't possibly be my vehicle.0 -
I think the suggestion is more to take a date/time stamped photo of the "modification" so you'd have evidence.
(I know EXIF data can be modified, but the RAW data can't as far as I'm aware).0 -

What would stop me doing a modification to my car and taking a date& timed stamp photo then simply removing the modification.
If I received a nip, I would then simply refit the modification and claim that as it wasn't visible in the photo, it wasn't my car.0 -
(Or simply changing the time/date setting on your camera)0

Or he might be wanting to buy your car to brake if its cheap enough and only needs certain bits?0
-
Cheers all.
Car is in very good nick. New mot on it so deffo not ready for the breakers.
The questions he asked were none at all. He just followed me home and then got out of the car saying he was interested. It was the fact that he didn't ask any questions about the car that I found odd. That and he was already driving an almost identical car.
If I were buying a new to me nine year old car, I would want a change.0
