House sale help!

I was just looking for some advise ... our house has been for sale for a month and we don't seem to be getting any interest. We've had 2 views in a month both who seemed really interested when here but left no feedback, offers or 2nd viewings. We have an offer accepted on a house we really want to get cracking without however obviously need an offer on our place before we can get cracking. We've reduced the price here slightly but don't want to reduce it more to lose more equity or to see desperate or that something may be wrong with the property. Other houses on the street are selling in a matter of days and these are ones with no parking, garage or garden and pretty much bizzarly the same price (5k less). We're really proud of the house and think everything looks great - pictures, description etc.
Any hints or tips on to get more people through the door at all?! ( I can't post a link as a new user)

When comparing with 'Other houses on the street' there are various possible explanations:
* your is more expensive
* or smaller (total square footage or number of rooms)
* or laid out less attractively (eg downstairs bathroom)
* or not as modern (eg kitchen, bathroom)
* or poorer/more tired decor
* smaller /less attractive garden
* no drive/garage etc
* fundamental issue (obviously missing roof tiles, external cracks etc)
So - how does your compare on each point0 -

Personally, ours is a lot nicer and larger than others on the street. All others are 2 beds and ours a good size 3 with ample parking and garage. But obviously we are being bias hence coming on here for recommendations.
I've just posted a rough way to search on right move above

Other houses on the street are selling in a matter of days and these are ones with no parking,
I would guess those are through a high street EA? I beleive the online EAs put some buyers off.
I would also guess they have a bath? A 3 bedroom home will be marketed at young families who would ideally want a bath, having said that, it is much easier to install a bath than a garage/parking space.
Is there space to install a bath in the bathroom? Could you angle the picture(s) to show this if possible?
Apart from that it is a lovely house and well presented.
Are there two different houses on the pictures? they don't look like the same house to me! which is yours? pic 1 or 15?0 -
Thank you. There is plenty of room for a bath as there was one first in there when we moved in before we did the bathroom out. I will add that to my list as it is a pretty much brand new lovely shower.0

The house itself looks very nice and well presented.
But the outside space would put me off.. At the front, you have a tiny garden between the house and the road. Not somewhere you would have a BBQ. At the back you have a block paved parking space in front of the integral garage. Again no proper outside "garden"
Obviously you can't change this. It is what it is. But I suspect most buyers of a 3 bedroom house would want a garden they can use for relaxing, kids can play in, somewhere for a garden shed etc.
It does seem to limit the potential buyers somewhat, and probably more so with a 3 bed than perhaps 1 or 2 bed?0 -
I think the reason is properly because you have no garden as Prodave says
Also the picture of your living room would concern me, although it's a lovely big room the sofa is right in front of the door and looks like you can't walk in through that door and get past sofa?
Also the small bedroom looks like you wouldn't get a bed in there?Current Mortgage 01.10.17 £113,513.88

Yes, that was my immediate thought too - I think would be better to rearrange so that the front door at least looks useable, even if you don't use it (which door are you using for viewers?).Debtslayer wrote: »Also the picture of your living room would concern me, although it's a lovely big room the sofa is right in front of the door and looks like you can't walk in through that door and get past sofa?0
