Sorry but under the Consumer Rights Act if a fault develops after the first six months, the burden is on you to prove that the product was faulty at the time of delivery.

Since the car was purchased in 2014, CRA 2015 would not apply in this case.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Good outcome, but why are some manufacturers still offering only 3 year warranties? If Kia can offer 7 years and Hyundai & Honda 5 years, it is time others stepped up to the mark.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Plus countries are different too the USA v's GB Volvo warranty is a good example where the US one is for many more miles.0

It just shows what little confidence they have in their products, designed to just get through 3 years.
A 10 or 15 year warranty wouldn't be a problem if the basic components and engineering were up to scratch, as wear and tear is always excluded, so they would only actually have to do anything if stuff breaks rather than wears out.
It might keep a few cars in dealer servicing longer too,I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

My son who lives in California has just bought a truck with a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty. I suppose it is a more competetive market in the US.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
