Women's knee high socks

My dear wife likes to wear plain ordinary black cotton knee-high socks with her long skirts in the winter, but is despairing of finding any at a sensible price that stand being worn and washed more than a few times. Does anybody please know of an online source of such a thing in a UK women's size 6?

It could be worth checking out the school clothing. I couldn't find short plain white cotton socks in the adults sections unless they were paired with a coloured pair in a multipack. I ended up finding them in the M&S school uniform section, I also need size 6.

I'd suggest looking at school clothing too.

    I agree.

It reminds me of when my DDs were at school wearing black knee length socks. DH got home from work one day and put his feet up for a rest only to display one of the girl's name tags on his socks!:)

Primarni are usually good for long, plain coloured socks at this time of year.
