Can anyone advise cheapest device to be able to play online gaming. I have 1 laptop with graphics card and good speed and memory. I've been told around £600+ to but something similar.

It doesn't have to be a laptop. I don't really want another PC would a tablet be a good idea?

I was being sarcastic. It definitely is the worst place to go.
Unfortunately there’s very little competition on the high street and there is where your average Joe public goes, Currys love those punters.
  • Thanks, I got a lot of great advice here! I've almost made a decision:

I am struggling between getting a Microsoft surface or a Yoga 910.

Both are 2 in 1 laptops, have more than enough processing speed and ram for my average use, won't quickly become obsolete and the ability to use them as tablets could be really useful.
  • Dell Xps 15 (latest quad core version) excellent battery life, one of the most compact laptops for it's screen size. Light and just excellent. Get the 16GB version

    Also has
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU
    Thunderbolt 3
    USB 3.0 with PowerShare
    HDMI

I am about to order one myself.

Never got why people are so crazy about Macbooks.

Have you seen this? The sound quality and delay would be a deal breaker for me.

& make sure it doesn't have the first batches TN screens which were AWFUL.

For the OP - do you really want to pay the massive premium for the ultraportable format?
They also have the Core "U" CPUs which are great at using very little power, but that translates to low performance too.

I have a Surface Pro 3 i7, and tbh, its rubbish. I'm going to buy a laptop with a non-U CPU on black friday.

Someone else already hit the nail on the head:
What are you going to use it for
How much storage do you actually need (because an SSD is the single biggest upgrade you can do on a typical laptop compared to having an HDD)
    What is your budget

Answer those, and you have a very good start as to what you want

Then read independant reviews from places like TrustedReviews and CNET.
