Email notifications of new posts

Hi,
Is there a known problem with instant email notification of new posts in subscribed threads? I don't seem to be getting any notifications recently. Instead, I need to remember that I have posted something, and come back to it later to check if anyone's replied.
I have checked my user profile and it looks ok. I have received some notifications in the past (more than a few months ago) from this site, but not as many as I expected.
Is everyone else receiving the expected number of notifications?
(By the way, this is unrelated but yes I am receiving the weekly emails no problem, it's just the forum notifications that I don't receive.)
