Can I claim for loss of earnings due to strikes?

On a return flight from Spain, the flight was cancelled due to air traffic control strikes in France. Is there any way I could claim for my two days loss of earnings as Easyjet won't pay any compensation for air traffic control strikes?

Are you sure there were strikes in France. Put your details into bottonline or euclaim and see what they say. Will your travel insurance cover you. When was your flight?
