He doesn't sound like a keeper - perhaps you should throw this fish back in the sea.
Why would you want to stay with and buy a property with someone who is dishonest and who you have only known for 2 months.
Focus on increasing your own earning power and buying a place on your own. Shared ownership might work for you.
Finally - you might not know this - on dating websites "self-employed" means unemployed and "property developer" means they have a house which needs a bit of work doing to it.Overactively underachieving for almost half a century0 -

OP: I'm not yet 30, but there's still a lot of living ahead of you to not go for this 'last resort'... I suppose the first question would be to ask yourself what benefits do you get from him in 5-10-20-30 years?
I think that the OP already knows what she needs to do, she is preparing herself to actually doing it.
EDIT: I typed the above before reading post 8, where she confirmed it.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
He wont get caught. Enjoy the ride.0

I think it's a troll post, designed to get reactions. Sounds a bit of a tall story to me.0

I am seeing less and less of him now and seeing other people in the long run. Thank you for everyone's thoughts, I am afraid to dob him in at the moment, I am not sure about that yet.0

That has opened my eyes to what people say on dating websites. I never knew that! most guys sat they are in real estate, property developer, finance etc... and when I google or do a linkedin they don't give me their proper names.
I have thought it would be better to buy my first flat on my own! I think I got carried away with thinking he was the one for me when he clearly isn't. without all of this hassle of someone else owning it with me.0 -
So you are still seeing him then? Why?
We became friends before we dated each other. He is a member in my business group also. I have been told many times it is easier to find someone else to replace your current partner whilst you are in a relationship.
I do think also if I see less and less of him then I can just break up with him without the drama involved... I sense he is feeling that it is about to end. I am trying to do it softly so less stress for my health and wellbeing.
My question is, can people work when they are receiving disability benefits? he said they allow him to work. He is quite dim, he didn't think by telling me he was on it that I could tell on him, if I were to. I have been stalked before in the past. I am just afraid in case he susses it is me and does anything stupid?! as I don't know him very well.0 -
Lots of people are benefit cheats, doesn't make that right either0

People on certain disability benefits can work.
What I don't get is this softly softly approach to breaking up. I get the impression that if got a job and was off benefits you would happily stay with him. Even if he did all this it doesn't change the fact he is a liar it's not being on benefits that makes him a liar he would just find different things to lie about.
Just break up and move on.0
